Chapter 1 - The story of the cosmic god

James Chase, a 20 year old, the only interesting thing was that he was in college. James is a college student of medium stature with dark black hair and bright blue eyes. He's walking to his dorm with his roommate and best friend Michael. "That class felt so long." says James to Michael as sirens go off in the distance the dark clouds making the sky look ominous. To the side a street lamp starts to flicker, people running home before the incoming rain. "Yeah his class is so boring and long," says Michael. "Its always hot as fuck to, like why does it need to be that hot it just makes us all want to sleep. Plus his voice as well just has that effect of just putting us to sleep as he just drones on and on." James says "Let's get back before it starts raining." They start running crossing an intersection as the rain starts to fall, the sounds of sirens getting closer and the screech of tires added to them. They come across another intersection and Micheal starts running across not looking both ways. James looks left then right and then sees it. A truck being pursued by 2 cop cars lights flashing and sirens blaring. Micheal doesn't see them. 'MICHAEL LOOK OUT" James yells as he runs to push him out of the way. Michael is pushed and looks behind him to see James get hit by the car. James feels pain explode throughout his body, his legs, his back, his head. His world flips upside down the sky below him the ground above. He falls and hits the ground hard, pain exploding once again as he lands on his back the wind knocked out of him, pain ripples throughout his back, legs, arms, and head. A pool of blood starts to build around him, his vision going in and out of focus. People are screaming, sirens blaring around him, the last thing he hears is his roommate yelling "Someone get an ambulance or he's going to die." He gains consciousness again, it's dark, cramped and feels as if he's swimming, he hears muffled voices and screams. A woman's voice calls out "come on madam a little bit more and he will be out." minutes pass that seem like hours, then light shines on him as big hands pull him out of whatever he was in. His eyes open to see a woman in her early 20's long black hair, green eyes and what looks to be a medieval style dress. As she holds him up he looks around, he's in a bedroom of massive size, a jewel encrusted chandelier, a walk in closet filled with different clothing and armor in the back, on the far wall a crest with a golden lion on its hind legs roaring, two black swords crossed above it. Beside the bed James notices a man. He's a handsome man with golden hair and eyes, a scar across his eye and a sword strapped to his waist. "James- James Lionheart will be his name." the man says. "A fine name Nathan" sighs the woman who clearly just gave birth. "I'm glad you think that merry" says Nathan who James clearly assumes is his father. Nathan turns to face the woman holding James. "Emily took him to his room and put him to sleep." " By your Order Duke Lionheart" she replies as she exits the room. They move down the hall, Emily going into a room a couple doors down. The room is dark and Emily holds out her hand, above the chandelier lights up with dancing flames. A crib stands by a large window overlooking the forest behind the castle, a walk-in closet in the corner, and a small desk with a chest filled with toys. Emily tucks James into the crib, waves her hand and the lights of the chandelier go out; she waves her hand again and James' eyes start to droop, the silent call of sleep overtaking him. An hour passes the castle is silent besides the guards roaming the halls looking for intruders. Four balls of light that are almost starlike materialize above James slowly circling him almost like a scan. They stop above his head and then shoot towards his head and sink in.

James wakes up in a pure white space, white everywhere as far as the eyes could see. He looks down to see his body, not the body of an infant, the body of his old self before he died. "Where am I? That experience felt too real to be a dream. Or am I truly dead and that was a dream before I truly died?" James thinks as thousand other questions flood his mind. "No you are not dead, this is the dream realm, a place you can get to converse with us constellations" , says a man's voice behind him. James whips around to see four balls of light. They start to grow brighter and get bigger. Taking a more humanoid shape. Blight disappears and they're standing before. James is three men and a woman " I'm garden the constellation of space and time." The man friend says he's a man looking both old and young silver eyes, a dark cloak that seems to pull you in as you stare into it. "My name is Malaika the magic overlord constellation" says the woman next to Garon. She's the woman with bright silver hair, brown eyes and golden skin and pointed ears in her hand. A staff that looks to be made from a large ranch on top. The staff drifts a blood red crystal. "I am Jin the lone sword constellation." The man next to Malaika says he's a tall man with dark black hair black eyes. He wears leather armor and on his waist, two black sores that seem like a single touch could kill you instantly. "And I'm Tidus. The constellation of the eternal flame." says a voice in the back. A short man steps forward with black hair and beard that goes past his belly button. The beard catches on fire here and there but not actually burning anything. He has an apron on with a unique Jew encrusted Hammer hanging off of it. "We are the constellations that will support you James Chase. We know of your reincarnation from that abandoned world." garon says. "As we have contracted you, you are able to grow stronger faster. You'll learn magic and swordsmanship a lot faster as well as get space and time abilities as you are stronger." Malaika says "what do you mean by my old world was abandoned and why am I in my old body." James asked "your old world lacked mana because of that constellations abandoned it because it was bound for destruction. As for why your old body, that's what your soul is more comfortable with." Garen says "do normal People have four constellations" the constellations look at each other. No normal people have one some two I think the highest recorded is three." "Why do I have so many?" James asks, "that's not your time to know Malaika says. "Now it's time for you to go. We wish you luck on your new life. You'll meet again. James cha- no James Lionheart." With that James wakes up. It's still night and James has hundreds of questions, but one on his mind he lays there thinking. Then decides to try it. He struggles to sit up for a few minutes but finally sits up his back leaning on the edge of the crib. "Let's see if I can sense this mana." He thinks, he concentrates on the surroundings trying to sense his energy called mana. Then he senses it around him. He tries to reach out to it trying to do anything with it. The air gets warm but that's it. Tries to pull the mana to him and it obliges him to enter and gather around his heart in the form of a circle, he keeps gathering. Till the size of a half dollar coin. Then cools, mana no longer entering. "Why did it stop? Is the amount this body can hold James. Doesn't matter anyway. I was able to sense mana and collect it in my body. Let's try to do magic now." He pictures a flame on his hand as he holds it out, energy starts flowing out from his hand. His hand gets warm but nothing else. He stops and tries again. This time imagining the flame as a ball. Again, energy flows from him. A ball of flame the size of grape appears on his hand getting bigger and bigger going to the sides of a basketball, energy pouring out of him. He feels the energy leave him. He panics, stopping the flow of mana. The flame disappears, the energy stops and he feels his eyes start to droop and the next second he succumbs to his fatigue. He wakes up hours later, the sun shining through the window. He looks around to see Emily walking in. She feeds him with the fresh cow milk she just squeezed and then clothes him. The day flies by as he tries to practice magic, hiding it from his parents, his maid and the knights roaming the castle. He gets better able to control the size of the fireball. He also notices that none of his spells hurt him or anything. He doesn't intend to harm. He tries different elements as well. Earth, wind, water which he got a little wet with. He then experiments for days and weeks trying new spells and pulling more mana into a circle.
