Mei immediately regretted saying anything.
Rin pointed dramatically. "She's blushing!"
"I'm not."
"You absolutely are."
"I'm not."
"You're literally red."
Eric nodded. "She's red."
Mei considered murdering her entire family while Lianhua couldn't stop smiling.
"I like him."
Mei froze. "What?"
"I said I like him," Lianhua took a sip of her drink.
"He's polite."
"Respectful."
"Good looking."
"Hardworking."
Rin immediately added: "Very good looking."
Mei threw a napkin at her causing the younger girl to laugh even harder.
Lianhua continued. "He treats you well."
Mei looked away. "Yeah."
Lianhua's smile grew. "Good."
Then she reached across the table and squeezed her daughter's hand. "Remember."
Mei looked up.
"I'm your mother."
"If you ever need advice..." Lianhua winked. "...or help."
Rin nearly fell out of her chair. "Oh my God."
"We should share everything."
Mei immediately choked. "Everything?"
