Rowan looked down at his hands. "Not really, I know you'll find me, but I still needed time to think, you know my worldview was destroyed today."
Damon exhaled slowly.
Nicklaus stepped forward, stopping directly in front of Rowan. "You don't belong to him, you are mine, and you know that you are mine, and mine alone."
Damon snapped, "You don't get to decide that."
The room vibrated with tension.
Alpha Matteo raised his voice just enough to cut through it. "This ends now."
Both Alphas stilled.
He turned to Rowan's parents. "You were right to suggest a council meeting."
Relief flickered across Rowan's mother's face.
"But before that," the Alpha continued, "there are things I need to make clear to you both."
He looked at Nicklaus and Damon . "You will stay here. Both of you."
Damon frowned. "Stay here?"
"Yes," the Alpha said evenly. "you'll be living under my roof, and while you're under my roof. You're under my laws too."
