Third Person Pov.
Lena woke up feeling extremely tired and sore, she felt like a truck ran her over the previous night.
As she tries to properly open her eyes, she notices the ceiling looks much more different from the ceiling back at her room.
She hurriedly jumped up, then she realized she was stark naked and couldn't move properly because she felt so sore, then it dawned on Lena what had really happened the previous night.
She looked for her clothes and saw them scattered on the floor and decided to quickly put them on, and immediately left the hotel room as fast as she could, before anyone saw her leaving the hotel room a few days before her wedding.
She gasped internally, what a scandal!.
Lena couldn't stop asking herself these insistent questions as tears streamed down her eyes ,
"How did I get there? How do I explain to Evans? Will he believe me if I told him that I was raped?" I thought Lena tried to walk faster but the bruise down there was just too much. " In frustration
Lena almost screamed out the words she was about to say, "Is he a beast? How come I can barely walk?" Lena felt so ashamed of herself as she made her way downstairs.
She quickly hailed a taxi, got inside and closed her eyes to rest for a while after giving the taxi driver her home address.
As she closed her eyes, faint details of the previous night's conversations started flooding into her mind, though it was not clear seeing as her mind was still foggy from yesterday's drinks.
One particular conversation that was so vivid was the last one she had with Ashley before her blackout, where she asked her
"Why did you seduce my fiance? When did it all start?" like a piercing headache, images of the previous day started flooding into her mind and she remembered seeing her fiance hugging and caressing Ashley intimately.
Lena opened her tear rimmed eyes, "So this was how I found myself in a stranger's bed? You all betrayed me, but why? What did I ever do to you for you to treat me this way?" She broke into a series of tears.
After she calmed down, she retrieved her phone from her trouser pocket and called her secretary, Syvia. "Syvia, please get me the security footage from the previous night at Starlight hotel, I want to see everything with the audio as well."
Sylvia, not aware of why she was being ordered to get the security footage, decided to follow her boss's instructions without questions.
She asked her. "Should the security footage cover the entire hotel? And from what time should the security footage begin?"
Lena sighed, glancing at her well trimmed nails before responding. "Get me the footage from the moment I stepped my foot into that hotel until the very moment I left this morning and please, be discreet. Get it to me in the next twenty minutes." Lena ordered"
In the next twenty minutes, Sylvia, Lena's secretary called her to inform her that she had forwarded the video footage to her phone. She sounded so worried for her boss and tried distracting her from watching the CCTV video, "Ma, is there any need for you to watch the video?
The video just covered the moment when you and Evans were celebrating, nothing much".
Lena already knew what she was planning to do and quickly stopped her. " Sylvia don't worry, it is fine, I already know what is in the video, I just needed evidence that is why I requested for the video coverage"
Sylvia could no longer hide her true feelings anymore and quickly said. "Don't worry about those scumbags, they will not go scot free." but Lena stopped her, knowing Sylvia's temper she decided to warn her to stay low and wait for her instructions.
Lena opened her phone and started watching the video like a hawk quietly, she was able to understand their reasons for doing what they did, thank God the private suite they booked for the celebration had CCTV and it could also capture voices.
She was able to hear everything they discussed at the suite so easily..
She was shocked to find out that Ashley and
Evans have been dating for the past two years and they both planned to use her nudes to threaten her into giving them the company. Lena was astonished at how far their plan was going.
Sylvia on the other hand had been watching the same video over and over, going through all the details. S
he even had to rush down to the hotel to carry out her own personal investigation. She would rather cough out blood than see her boss's company which she worked so hard to build fall into the wrong hands.
"Miss we have arrived, can you please pay your
fare and leave so I can go about my day" the driver's voice pulled Lena out of her deep thoughts.
She apologized softly and came down after paying her fare, the driver looked at her with disgust in his eyes before driving away.
Lena was surprised at the way the driver had stared at her, decided to look at herself with her phone screen, she was shocked at how disheveled
she looked, with lots of hickeys visible to the public eyes, she hurriedly tried to comb her hair with her hands, and dress herself up but that did not stop the hickeys from being too glaring.
She picked up her hand bag that dropped when she was trying to fix her hair, and started limping home.
She was scared and helpless about her nude leaking but she knew she would rather they leaked her nudes than she would give them to her mother's company, a company her mother had worked so hard to build.
