The day ended and karli fell asleep. She woke up the next day feeling a slight bit energetic but also at the same time tired.
She went downstairs tobthe kitchen where the family had gathered. The sleepy children the energetic couple and the warm sun all created a nice ambience enjoyable and enviable.
Karlotta felt that she had stayed with the family long enough and decided that today was the day she'd leave but breakfast came first.
It was warm almost burnt toast with a bit of jam an egg sodt boiled and a big glass of apple juice or water whichever you'd prefer karlotta took her chance with the apple juice which was frankly too sweet for her. But she couldn't back down so she drank the entire cup before slowly telling them that she would leave today.
She explained that she had to leave because she had to report her findings and any excuse she could come up on the spot because she didn't expect the family to have grown that close to her in the few days she spent time together.
The couple reluctantly agreed seeing her scarambling to get excuses which sounded reasonable but they felt awkward. The couple did help her by pushing for their children to agree and so they did.
"You have to call us up when you return home here take this it's our landline" said the little girl as she handed karli a piece of paper with numbers barely understandable.
"Stay a little longer" insisted the youngest but that was refuted by the parents telling him that she had a family to return to and what not.
All and all the family was made to agree to let her go. To them she was an enjoyable little friend one that showed interest though not alot just enough to keep a conversation going and interesting. There were times to kids found her strange when she looked surprised or confused on how to use simple devices and gadgets but they chose to ignore it.
"Before you go dear come here for a sec" said the mother as she pulled karlotta aside to a corner of a room away from the rest of the family and slowly whispered.
"Here take it you must be so troubled with life" she said as she handed her a bit of money not alot but enough to keep someone afloat for a cpuple of weeks maybe a month if rationed correctly.
"No, I couldn't. I can't trouble you any longer you have helped me more than enough this is too much i have all the things i need."
"I refuse your refusal" she said with a grin before her face slowly turned abit sadder. "I too ran away from home. It was hard for me for a while. It felt like life was playing a cruel skit upon me but a kind couple helped me. It was Dennis' family and as fate would have it we fell in love too sl all was well but i don't think you'll love our dearies so why don't you take this it will help you yes not forever but it will alleviate your stress even if just a bit."

Lauren just smiled a wide big loving smile as she placed the money into karli's bag and also went to get her a shawl to wear.
Karli was given a soft beige shawl with no flashy designs just a simple branding with the materials 100percent chashmere.
With that she bid the family goodbye. The awkward little girl with just a few words by her side was able to feel at homw away from home. She had a faint graceful smile on her face as left the home behind and got on the road.
