Lucian's body moved on pure instinct, his vampire speed carrying him through the New York streets faster than any human eye could track.
The address the caller had later sent was burned into his mind, before he dropped his phone somewhere. The location was an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city, far from prying eyes.
It was the perfect place for an ambush. Lucian knew but he didn't care. He told himself that it could be a trap for all he cared.
"Let them all come... I will kill every single one of them if they dare hurt my man." Lucian gritted out.
He arrived at the warehouse in less than five minutes, his body materializing from a blur of motion into solid form.
The building was old and dark, its windows were shattered and the scent of decay and old blood was thick in the air for any supernatural being with sensitive sense of smelling.
Standing in the center of the empty space, illuminated by a shaft of moonlight through the broken roof, was a vampire.
