Alicent quickly packed her luggage.
In fact, there wasn't much to pack, just a few pieces of clothing.
"Are we being kicked out of King's Landing?"
Alicent's mood had eased a bit, and she even made a joke.
"Kicked out of King's Landing?" Aegon's mouth twitched, "That's not funny. We are fish entering the vast sea. How can you say we're being kicked out of King's Landing?"
For Aegon, temporarily leaving King's Landing to develop his own power was best described as a fish entering the vast sea.
Struggling for power in King's Landing was futile; when war broke out, he would still rely on the armies of the nobles below him.
However, going to the Stepstones to develop his own power was real and tangible, allowing Aegon to have armies directly loyal to him when war with the Black Party began.
As Aegon spoke, Aemond and Daeron walked over, yawning.
"Still not awake?" Aegon teased.
The two little ones, especially Daeron, woke up much earlier than this on Dragonstone.
"Yeah, I slept for a long time, and I still want to sleep," Daeron mumbled.
"I've completely fallen out with the Black Party and am preparing to return to Dragonstone. Wake up quickly."
Aegon pinched Daeron's face.
Sleepy-eyed Daeron and Aemond instantly woke up.
"Fallen out?" Aemond's eyes widened, "Great! I'll go ride Vhagar and kill her!"
Helena was quick-witted and grabbed Aemond's collar.
"Don't get excited. Now we've just put all the conflicts out in the open. It hasn't reached the point of war yet.
If war really breaks out, I'll be the first to tell you. Now, you and Daeron go ride your Dragons.
Helena, you go too. You and Aemond wait at the harbor, and Daeron waits outside the Red Keep."
"Okay, we'll go now!"
Helena nodded and led Aemond and Daeron towards the Red Keep.
Aegon, meanwhile, began to gather his personal guards. All twenty were elites and couldn't be left behind in King's Landing.
Soon, the news that Aegon wanted to take Alicent away reached Viserys's ears.
Viserys, who was questioning Otto about what the Small Council was, immediately jumped up and declared that no one could take his Queen away.
"Daemon, gather your men!" Viserys ordered.
Daemon, whose right hand was still bandaged, began to gather his Golds.
Fortunately, Daemon had learned his lesson and always had a squad of Golds with him.
After sending a Gold to deliver the message, Daemon's men gathered quickly.
Viserys rushed with the Golds towards Maegor's Holdfast, only to find it empty.
Fortunately, Viserys caught up with Alicent just as she was leaving the Red Keep at the last moment.
Viserys looked at Alicent, but found her eyes filled with disgust and hatred.
"Alicent?" Viserys felt a little guilty, and also a little annoyed, "You are the Queen. Won't going to your son's territory cause trouble?"
Alicent glared at Viserys.
"Can't I even stay with my eldest son for a while?" Alicent emphasized the words "eldest son".
Viserys's face froze.
He had thought that after he completely sided with Rhaenyra, Alicent would have a big fight with him, and things would be fine after he appeased her.
He never expected Alicent to actually want to leave King's Landing directly.
Daemon, who was following Viserys, his eyes flickering, whispered to Viserys:
"Alicent cannot leave. If Alicent leaves King's Landing, Aegon will be completely out of control." Otto saw Daemon whispering in Viserys's ear and instantly guessed what Daemon had said.
"Your Grace, the Queen is just going to Dragonstone to stay for a while. It won't cause Prince Aegon any trouble.
Viserys looked at Otto, then at Daemon, and quickly made a decision in his heart.
Alicent absolutely cannot leave King's Landing!
It's best if Aemond and Daeron also stay in King's Landing!
"Alicent, my Queen, Aegon is so busy every day, don't go and make things difficult for him.
Aemond and Daeron are also at the age to serve as squires. Isn't it better for you all to stay in King's Landing?"
"Pfft." Aegon couldn't hold back and laughed.
Viserys's face darkened, and he put on his fatherly air.
"Aegon, your two younger brothers are at the age to serve as squires. Going to the Stepstones will delay their growth."
"Serving as whose squire isn't serving as a squire?" Aegon waved his hand, "I've already arranged it. It won't delay their growth."
"As for Mother, I'm just taking her to Dragonstone to play for a few years. Don't worry."
As he spoke, Aegon's eyes met Otto's.
Otto straightened his back and nodded at Aegon.
Aegon smiled.
"Let's go, Mother," Aegon said to Alicent.
Seeing Alicent about to leave with Aegon, Viserys immediately gave Daemon a look.
Daemon immediately gave an order to stop Alicent.
Seeing the Golds around Daemon make a move, Aegon's personal guards immediately took out their miniature crossbows and got ready.
"Hiss!"
The roar of a Dragon suddenly sounded, and Daeron arrived in time.
Dust flew up as Tessarion landed and blasted the Golds in front of him with a breath of Dragonfire.
Tessarion's Dragonfire was not as strong as Vhagar's and couldn't burn people to charcoal directly, but it would make them feel hellish burning pain before death.
"Daeron!"
Viserys's face changed drastically, and he rebuked him sternly.
Daeron was cheeky and stuck out his tongue at Viserys, showing no respect for Viserys at all.
"Hiss!"
Tessarion roared at Viserys, the foul-smelling gale blowing so hard he couldn't open his eyes.
After Tessarion finished roaring, Viserys's face flushed red, and he roared, "I am your father, Daeron!"
"So what? I know you're anxious, but don't be anxious yet. I'm just warning certain people not to mess around, I'm not threatening you."
