Hmm? I can feel someone holding my hand. It's long, smooth (smile) and gentle. He's so handsome like a prince from wonderland (smile). If it's a dream I don't want to wake up from this world. But...it seems too real to be a dream. He's looking at me. He's smiling at me (blushed) awww..so cute. His voice is so cute. He's saying ....something? Hmmm?? What's he saying? I can't hear him. Ki?
" ....Ki....up.."
Huh? Up??
"Aki chan (smile)..wake up..you're going to be late.." (woman's voice)
Suddenly, I opened my eyes and found myself lying in the bed upside down hugging and holding the cat's tail.
*Meow*
"Aiisshh..it was a dream?"
But I think I heard a woman's voice. I looked to the side and saw my mom with a spoon in her hand, standing still, looking at me as if I'm some criminal and almost ready to beat me up. I gave a wry smile and got up as if I didn't notice anything. I could hear some notifications ringing on my phone. I looked at my phone on the table which was to the side of her and looked at her. I could feel the death end and her tight grip on the spoon was scaring me. I looked away and scratched my head and yawned. I counted 1.... looked at her... 2... *gulped and sigh* .....3. I took the phone quickly and ran down the stairs.
" AKiiiiiiiiiiiiiii..How many times do I have to tell you. NO PHONE BEFORE BREAKFAST. Come back here"
Mom chased me down the stairs at the same time scolding me. I ran towards my dad who was busy drinking tea and reading newspapers. I pleaded my dad to help me. While he was trying to help me my mom threw a pair of slipper which was supposed to be directed at me but since my dad stood up it got on his forehead. My mom stood there in shock. Pfft. It was starting to get fun. Until my older brother came, out of nowhere, from behind and grabbed me tightly.
"Here...mom.. your food" (smiled)
" You son of a bitch"
Everyone looked at me with shock on their face. Then my youngest brother chuckled.
" She's a dead meat now. Best of luck sis"
" Wai..wai..wait..Mom.. Dad.. I didn't mean that..I'm sorry..Lui..let go of me.."
I screamed at my brother to let go of the grip but instead he was enjoying and pushed me more towards mom. Mom came with full power holding a spoon on her hand as if she's holding some kind of cursed weapon. I begged my brother to let go and pleaded my mom.
" Mom..I'm sorry..I didn't mean that"
Mom said nothing, just with a weapon on her hand she gave me a full blow.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..not my faaaaaaace"
Few minutes passed by. Aki looked at the mirror and sighed.
" Aww...My poor nose. Everyone's gonna make fun of me now (sigh)"
Lui stood on the doorway leaning against it and made fun of her.
"That's what you get for not respecting your almighty, lovely, handsome, older brother"
Aki scowled at him while biting her lower lip and looked away angrily.
" Go away, you son of a bitch"
"Mom, Aki's....."
"Stop..I'm sorry. Okay?" (said in a sulking voice).
My brother was having fun irritating me. I couldn't curse or swear at him or he might get me into another trouble. I just looked at my pitiful face in the mirror and sulked more seeing a bruised on my nose. I put a bandaid on my nose to cover the bruise and got ready for the school. I sat in the dining room forcing myself to have breakfast or I might get into another trouble with my mom if I didn't have one. Then I looked at my brother who was already waiting for me to finish my breakfast. I looked at him as if pleading him to help me get away from the dining table. My brother understood and chuckled.
Lui went near Aki and put a hand around her neck and pulled her away.
"Let's go my NAUGHTY PUPPY. We're already late for our school"
" Ah..ah..let go..I haven't done with my breakfast..ah....." (acting)
Aki sneaked at her mother and could see her sighing and shooking head.
*sigh* Aki looked at Lui and at his hand which was still around her neck and brushed it away.
"Oh..so you're not gonna thank me? hmm....Mom.."
"Shshhh...okay okay..thanks for helping me. Happy?"
" Very much" He smiled and went away.
She mimicked him many times and touched her nose by mistake.
"Ouch..."
She gave a big sigh and went away sulking. As she was on the way to school she looked at her phone and saw the notification My baby's birthday ❤️. She was excited and started to think of what to get for him. She texted him, wishing him happy birthday and sending him many hearts till the chat was full. She was so over excited that she didn't notice that she had already reached the school gate. A girl came from behind and bounced at her.
"Goodmorning, Aki"
Aki looked back and smiled.
" Goodmorning"
A girl was her bestfriend, Kikiyo Miura also called by the name Kiki but that's only among the closed ones. They were friends from elementary school and was like a glue-stick. Wherever one goes the other follows, whenever one's troubled the other fights at the one causing trouble, and whoever messes with one, ends up embarrassing ownself. Among them Aki was the unluckiest in love. Aki always ends up getting dumped or cheated on. This is the only time where Kikiyo couldn't handle the situation. But this time she thought Aki had found someone who cared for her, loved her endlessly and is going smoothly. But that lasted only for a few months.
That evening Aki and Kikiyo went to buy a birthday gift for her boyfriend. They went to a shopping mall and Aki was busy calling and texting her boyfriend but there was neither an answer nor a reply. She thought he must still be in the arcade and would surprised him later. Kikiyo doubted for a moment and brushed off thinking " There's no way he would cheat this time. Their relationships are going smoothly. I don't see any negative during my observance. Yup. Let's be positive, stay positive" She shook off her head and suddenly felt a stomach ache.
"Oww.. Aki can you wait there for a minute. Need to go washroom. I'll be back soon"
Kikiyo rushed to the washroom leaving Aki alone in the hallway. Aki tried calling her boyfriend again. She tried twice then finally there was an answer.
"Hello"
"Hello, baby. Are you still in the arcade? Let's meet up at 6 tonight."
"I..I'm sorry...I have other plan with my friends..Let's meet next time"
" But baby do you know what day is today...You know I...."
While she was busy talking with her boyfriend she dashed onto someone and her phone fell on the ground. A guy ignored her and went away without even apologizing. She laid there with disbelief and huffed at him.
"Asshole. Don't even know how to apologize"
She got up and took a deep breathe. She took her phone and saw that the call was already cut off. She tried calling again but the signal was already out of reach. She stomped angrily and looked to the way the guy had gone.
"Just you wait... You...You freaking son of a bitch..you heartless...you..you....urgggghhhh.."
Kikiyo came from behind and spoke in her ears.
" Whom are you cursing at?"
Aki got startled and mistakenly threw her phone on the ground.
" Aiishhh...are you crazy? Do you always love sneaking from the back."
" No. But I love eating aunty's handmade food" (smiled)
"Aishhh. Ah my phone..."
"Let's go. Off we go to buy a gift"
Kikiyo hold her by the arms and took her inside the stall. They searched through many things. Aki showed the socks. Kikiyo shook with disapprove. Then she showed the sweater. Kikiyo thought for a moment and shook again. Then she showed her the inner wear. They both searched for the XXXL size and laughed hardly then they both shook their head. They both came out from the clothing shop and sighed deeply. As they were dragging hopelessly, they came across a watch shop. They both looked at each other and nodded with excitement. They went inside and bought a watch. But the problem is the boyfriend. Kikiyo told Aki to call again. Aki nodded and tried calling again.
"Hello?"
"Hello baby..are you out from the arcade let's meet up. It's okay if we can meet only for a second. I just wanna give you something....."
"I can't"
There was a deep silent for a moment. Aki frowned with disappointment.
"No problem..I can give you tomorrow"
*Hang up*
Aki sulked and almost cried. Kikiyo comforted her and took her to a restaurant.
"So what if he can't make it. I'm here for you. Let's go have a full of chicken"
As they went inside, Aki first saw him sitting alone with a girl celebrating and cutting cakes. Aki was shocked and stood there hopelessly watching them for a minute.
