Feng Lihan stands at the entrance of the cave, his back rigid, his thoughts in chaos.
How am I supposed to tell them?
How do I explain something even I can barely accept?
Inside, Lin Yue rests quietly, unaware of the storm waiting beyond these walls. Feng Lihan's fists clench at his sides. No matter how strong he is, words like pregnant, man, heir—they are not things a clan easily forgives.
Before he can decide anything, slow footsteps echo behind him.
The cave grows colder_toggle.
"Enough hiding."
Feng Lihan turns sharply.
The former Chief steps inside.
She is an old woman, her hair completely white, her back bent by years—but her eyes are sharp, ancient, and frighteningly clear. She once ruled before Feng Lihan was even born. She knows things no one else dares to remember.
The moment her gaze lands on Lin Yue, she freezes.
Her breath catches.
"…So it's true," she murmurs.
Lin Yue stiffens. Feng Lihan steps forward instinctively. "Chief," he says cautiously. "Why are you here?"
The old woman does not answer him immediately. Instead, she looks at Lin Yue with open astonishment—then at Feng Lihan, as if seeing him for the first time.
"I came," she finally says, "because I sensed something the world has not felt in a very long time."
The family members present exchange uneasy looks.
Then the old Chief speaks the words that shatter everything.
"I know," she says calmly, "that your husband is pregnant."
The cave erupts in shock.
Feng Lihan's head snaps up. "What did you say?"
Lin Yue's face drains of color.
The old woman raises her hand. "Do not panic. I did not come to expose you. I came to protect the truth."
She steps closer. "You have nothing to fear from me."
Feng Lihan swallows hard. "Why would you—"
"Because," she interrupts gently, "I know the old history."
Her gaze sharpens. "Tell me, Feng Lihan. You believe you are an orphan, don't you?"
Feng Lihan stiffens. "Yes."
She nods slowly. "That is what you were meant to believe."
Silence presses down.
"Do you know," she continues, "why the clans were divided? Why they broke apart instead of standing under one throne?"
No one answers.
The old Chief exhales. "Because the Beast King refused the throne."
Shock ripples through the cave.
"He married," she says, "but when the clans know he want to marry a man then all clan demanded he give his throne to them, but beast king know they are cruel so he rejected it. And say no need all clan can live yourself, this throne today destroyef . You are free .
He chose love over power. And that decision shattered unity."
Everyone knows the legend. Everyone knows the Beast King vanished afterward.
But no one knows what came next.
She turns her eyes directly to Feng Lihan.
"Do you know who your parents are?"
Feng Lihan's heart slams violently. "My parents are dead."
"Yes," she says. "But that does not mean they were ordinary."
Her voice lowers.
"Your father… was the Beast King."
Feng Lihan staggers back a step.
"And your mother," she continues, "was not a beastwoman."
Lin Yue's breath trembles.
"She was a man," the old Chief says. "A man who came from another world."
The cave goes deathly silent.
"You were not abandoned," she says softly. "You were hidden. Because the child of a Beast King and an otherworld man child rule all clan god give them unbelievable power ,
Feng Lihan's voice cracks. "Then… Lin Yue…"
The old Chief nods.
"This pregnancy is not a curse. It is a continuation."
She looks at Lin Yue with solemn respect. "The blood has awakened again. Through love—not ambition."
Lin Yue's hands shake. "So… our child…"
"…will change everything," she finishes. "If the clans learn the truth, they will either kneel—or hunt you."
Feng Lihan moves instantly, standing between Lin Yue and the world.
"No one touches my family," he says hoarsely.
The old Chief smiles faintly.
"That," she says, "is exactly why the world chose you."
Outside, the wind rises.
Not as a warning—
But as the sound of history breathing again.
