Chapter 147 - Chapter 148 The Traitor's Black Eyes

A powerful spatial fluctuation suddenly erupted, then quickly contracted.

Aoki was stunned for a moment, then looked sharply at the back of her left hand.

She had been in this world for four or five days, and the silver flower's energy had only recovered a little.

At this rate, it would take at least three years for the energy to fully recover.

This speed wasn't slow, but it certainly wasn't fast either.

But now, energy was rapidly surging in, and in the blink of an eye, the entire flower lit up.

  "Full, full?"

Aoki's eyes shone with intense joy.

This kind of bead could actually charge the "World Travel" mark!

Now, as long as he found the "extreme point," he could leave at any time.

  More importantly,

there were four super dangerous species here, so did that mean there were three more of these silver beads?

  Aoki's eyes lit up.

Three beads, three opportunities for rapid charging, that was three guarantees.

In this world, a three-year charging time was tolerable.

But what if one day she entered a world that took thousands or tens of thousands of years to fully charge its energy? This would be a lifesaver!

She had to find a way to get her hands on the other three beads!

This cage, which he had previously longed to escape, had now become a blessed land, a treasure trove, in his heart.

At this moment, a look of surprise returned to Aoki's face.

The spatial fluctuation interference had disappeared!

This bead was indeed the source of the interference.

The next moment, Aoki's expression changed again, and he looked up.

He saw nothing, but he could feel a strong spatial fluctuation spreading outwards.

"Has that super dangerous species that controls spatial power returned? Because the bead was destroyed? What is its relationship with that silver bead?"

Many questions flooded Aoki's mind, but none had answers.

He glanced at the location from which the spatial fluctuations originated, then immediately activated "Spatial Imprint Shuttle," and he and Kuroko vanished instantly.

The moment they disappeared, a massive four-winged dragon appeared in the sky.

He looked down, his figure flashing, and appeared on the gray-white land to the east. Seeing the wound on the Tyrant's head, intense rage flared in his eyes.

  ...

One moment it was a primeval forest, the next, a desolate mountain covered in ice and snow.

  Kuroko blinked: "Where is this?"

  "Sidaiko," Aoki said.

"We're back?" A hint of surprise appeared in Kuroko's eyes; she remembered this was a city on the northern border of the empire.

  "Yes! Let's leave here first!"

Aoki destroyed a nearby rock and soared into the air.

As a fellow spatial ability user, the super-dangerous creature's mastery of spatial power was clearly far superior to his. Although the possibility was slim, he still had to be wary of the possibility of it chasing after them.

Landing beside Sidaiko and entering the city, Aoki finally relaxed.

  Now they were safe.

  He put Kuroko down.

  Kurohime swayed.

  Aoki quickly steadied her.

  "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." Kurohime shook her head, took a breath, and straightened up. "I should go now."

Aoki looked at her pale face. "Where are you going? Shall I take you there?"

  "No need!"

Kurohime took a candy from her snack bag, ate it, and her trembling gradually stopped, a touch of color returning to her face.

  This was the last one.

She looked up at Aoki. "I still don't know your name!"

They had lived together in the forest for several days, but had never asked each other anything.

  "Aoki!"

  "My name is Kuro-tomi!"

  Kuro-tomi smiled slightly. "I'm leaving!"

She waved and jogged away, her figure quickly disappearing from Aoki's sight.

Leaving Sidaiko, Kuro-tomi's face suddenly turned grim again. She leaned against a tree by the roadside, bending over in pain.

She was desperately short of medicine; one pill was just a drop in the ocean, having virtually no effect.

"It's been four days. I must get back as soon as possible!" Kuro-

tomi forced herself to stand up.

The problem was, this was the northern border of the Empire. Reaching the assassin unit's base was definitely not an easy task for her now.

  Three days slowly passed.

  "Huff, huff!"

Kuro-tomi's face was bloodless, every inch of her body throbbing with intense pain, her muscles trembling uncontrollably.

This journey had been like hell for her.

  However, she had succeeded.

This was the assassin unit's stronghold.

Kuro-tomi, leaning on Hachifusa, slowly walked forward and knocked on the door according to the agreed-upon code.

A moment later, the door opened, and a black-haired boy walked out. Upon seeing who it was, a look of surprise crossed his face.

"Black Eyes? Why are you back?"

Black Eyes raised her eyes. "What's wrong? Why can't I come back?"

The black-haired boy said with delight, "Because you've been missing for seven days. Everyone probably thought something had happened to you! You look terrible, are you injured?"

Black Eyes shook her head. "I just ran out of medicine."

"That's right, your medicine should have run out five days ago." The black-haired boy quickly said, "Come in quickly, it'll be troublesome if someone sees you."

Black Eyes was silent for a moment, then followed him into the room, looking around. "Where is everyone else?"

"A big mission came yesterday, they all went out. I missed it, otherwise you wouldn't have seen them today."

The black-haired boy chuckled. "Wait here for a moment, I'll go get you some medicine."

  "Okay!"

Black Eyes nodded, watching him leave, waiting silently.

Suddenly, ignoring the pain in her body, she darted to the side.

  *Whoosh!

  * A bullet struck the spot on the sofa where she had just been sitting.

The black-haired boy returned, his smile gone. He carried a pistol, followed by two men and two women.

  "Why?" Black Eyes asked, puzzled.

The black-haired boy said coldly, "Black Eyes, you betrayed the Empire. You've been expelled from the Assassins."

  "I didn't betray them!"

Black Eyes cried out, slightly agitated.

"Then where have you been these past few days?" the black-haired boy said coldly. "After completing the mission, there was no news for seven whole days. The medicine should have run out long ago, but I haven't returned."

Black Eyes continued, "I... I was teleported to a secret realm by a super dangerous species. I only escaped today."

"You have the Eight Houses, Destagur, and so many puppets, yet you were stopped by a dangerous species?"

"Not ordinary dangerous species. There were three super dangerous species there."

"Three super dangerous species? I've never heard of such a dangerous secret realm in the Empire. Tell me where it is!"

The black-haired boy sneered, and the others remained indifferent.

"William Fred? I want to speak to him myself!" Black Eyes took a deep breath; she truly couldn't answer this question.

The black-haired boy raised his pistol, pointing it at Kurohime's forehead: "No need, Kurohime. You've been labeled a traitor and are on the assassins' kill list!"
