At the post-match press conference, Wenger, facing the rather excited Fleet Street reporters, was also in a good mood and said with a smile:
"It's undeniable that clinching the League title early at our arch-rivals' home ground is a very good thing."
"But it's not time to celebrate yet; we still have the Champions League to contend for...."
"The Champions League semi-final at the end of the month will be a tough battle. Our opponent is Real Madrid, the King of the Champions League."
"We need to stay calm and humble to go further....."
When asked about Fly's action of sending the Main Referee off the field, Wenger unhesitatingly stood by his own disciple.
"I regret seeing such things happen....Football matches always have various unexpected incidents."
"I extend my sincere blessings to Mr. Mike Dean, and wish him a speedy recovery."
"What? Was Fly intentional?"
"No, no, no, you don't understand him. as his head coach, I can responsibly tell everyone that Fly is a kind-hearted child; he would never think of harming others...."
"Those who are indulging in conspiracy theories can save it. Fly has faced quite a few unfavorable calls this season."
"If he wanted revenge, he would have taken it long ago. Why would he wait until now?"
"Some media outlets wish for chaos so they can gain traffic from it; their behavior is truly unsightly....."
On the other side, Tottenham Hotspur's head coach Harry Redknapp had to face the strange looks from Fleet Street.
After all, he was the one who made wild boasts before the match. Now that it has backfired, he shouldn't expect these media reporters to go easy on him.
"Harry, you said before the match that Arsenal absolutely couldn't win the title early at Tottenham's home ground. Now they've done it. Do you have anything to say?"
Hearing this sarcastic question, Harry Redknapp's expression was very displeased, and he said bluntly:
"I have nothing to say. We gave our all in this match, but we didn't expect a certain opposing player to act like a murderer. Under such circumstances, our loss is understandable....."
as soon as the word "murderer" was uttered, the reporters present all lit up.
The hot topic has arrived!!!
"Harry, what do you mean by that? Murderer....who exactly are you referring to?"
The reporter's tone was very urgent, clearly wanting to get the answer they desired from Tottenham's head coach.
Harry Redknapp didn't fall for it, but hinted:
"You should know who I'm talking about....Given his young age, I won't name him directly."
"I just want to say, no matter how talented a player is, if he lacks sportsmanship, then no matter how glorious his achievements, it cannot be denied that he is a failed player."
as soon as Harry Redknapp made this statement, the reporters present immediately started scribbling.....
To whom these words were directed, those who understand, understand.....
as reporters, they just need to report "truthfully".
When the news spread that Arsenal had won the North London Derby and clinched the Premier League title early, countless fans were filled with emotion.
Ah.....this is Arsenal this season!
To achieve the feat of clinching the Premier League title six rounds early in the world's top League is simply astonishing!
For a time, many casual fans became Arsenal fans because of this, turning into "pseudo-Arsenal fans".
Meanwhile, major media outlets and newspapers also began to publish related news.....
"The Times: Arsenal 7:4 defeated Tottenham Hotspur, clinching the Premier League title six rounds early"
"The Telegraph: Fly's four goals helped Arsenal win the North London Derby, clinching the Premier League title six rounds early, making history"
"Manchester Evening News: Arsenal 7:4 defeated Tottenham Hotspur, winning the Premier League title early, Manchester United missed out on the Premier League title"
"as: The Premier League title officially concluded, Arsenal won the Premier League title six rounds early, the Premier League is not worthy of being called the world's top League"
"Marca: Arsenal 7:4 narrowly defeated Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid 5:1 easily swept Tottenham Hotspur, the difference between the two is immediately apparent"
"France Football: Fly won another title, his goal count this season has reached 84 goals, currently leading the Ballon d'Or odds by a wide margin. Is the youngest Ballon d'Or winner in history about to be born?"
"Titan Sports: Chinese youth Fly scored four goals, leading Arsenal to win the Premier League title six rounds early, proving that people of Asian descent can also play football well"
"The Korea Herald: Fly scored 84 goals in a single season, 59 goals in the League, a god-like performance, truly worthy of the Republic of Korea"
"The Sun: Fly's title-winning night was missed by Taylor, the golden couple suspected of breaking up"
....
After the match against Tottenham, Manchester United also finished their round of matches.
Perhaps because they had already learned that Arsenal had clinched the Premier League title, Manchester United surprisingly lost 1:2 to "The Potters" Stoke City, causing an upset.
After the match, Ferguson, in an interview with Fleet Street, did not comment much on this game, but instead steered the conversation towards Arsenal.
"Congratulations to Arsenal. They won the Premier League title early. Their dominance shown in the League this season is clear for all to see. I have nothing more to say...."
"When your opponent is a team that has played over 30 League rounds with only two draws, it only means you are very unlucky to have just run into a phenomenal team."
"I am helpless in this situation. I believe I have done my best, but I could only watch as Arsenal won the title early."
"as for unwillingness....there is certainly some, but after just a brief look at Arsenal's League record this season, any unwillingness can only turn into deep admiration."
"I am happy for Arsène. Although my relationship with him has never been good, and the media has even portrayed us as arch-rivals."
"But I still want to say, well done...."
"Only such a strong Arsenal is what I want to see."
"If the Premier League, apart from Manchester United, continues to lack a sufficiently strong team, then the competitiveness of the entire League will inevitably decline....."
"Look at La Liga on the Iberian Peninsula....Although their mid-to-lower table teams are as weak as ever."
"But it's undeniable that La Liga's upper-mid table teams have shown remarkable strength in recent years!"
"Nowadays, La Liga not only has Real Madrid and Barcelona, but also strong teams like Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, and Villarreal."
"These teams have achieved good results in European competitions."
"I think Premier League teams should have a sense of urgency. Our opponents are not far from us; they have always been watching us closely."
"Undoubtedly, other Leagues also want to claim the title of the world's top League....."
"Our League needs more strong teams and needs to achieve success in European competitions."
"We didn't do so well in the previous few seasons. This season, due to Arsenal's strong rise, the Premier League already holds half of the power in the Champions League knockout stage."
"I hope this year's Champions League Final will be a clash between us and Arsenal. I believe eliminating Schalke 04 to reach the Champions League Final is not a difficult task."
"Now it depends on the outcome of Arsenal facing Real Madrid. I think since they can defeat Barcelona, then defeating Real Madrid, who has been suppressed by Barcelona domestically in recent years, should not be a problem....."
"Since Arsenal has already clinched the title early, we also need to fully prepare for the Champions League. From this perspective, Arsenal does not have an advantage."
"It's not only winners who have the right to prepare early; losers do too...."
"Now I only hope that Manchester United can achieve a reversal against Arsenal by winning the Champions League."
"Cup competitions and Leagues are two completely different modes of play, especially a final, which is a one-off decider..."
"We have a greater experience advantage over Arsenal in this regard. For a team that has never won a Champions League Final, taking that first step is never a simple matter. Let's wait and see....."
When Fly saw the Scottish Old Man uncharacteristically start congratulating Arsenal and Wenger, he was completely bewildered.....
What's going on?
Has the Scottish Old Man had a change of heart?
No way....
Fortunately, after he finished reading the entire interview, he calmed down.
Right....this is the Ferguson he knows.
For an Old Man with an extremely strong desire to win, losing to his arch-rival is absolutely an unbearable thing.
Especially losing a match so helplessly, like this season.
Fortunately, Manchester United, like Arsenal, also entered the Champions League semi-finals. They only need to eliminate Schalke 04 to advance to the Champions League Final.
In other words, Manchester United still has hope for a comeback this season.
as long as they can win the final Champions League, Manchester United this season will definitely not be a loser compared to Arsenal!
Furthermore, since the Champions League title carries more weight than any other club-level championship, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Manchester United, by winning the final, would overshadow Arsenal.....
"A good idea....but want to achieve it? Have you asked Fly yet?"
After overcoming the mountain of Barcelona, Fly is very optimistic about this season's Champions League prospects.
Because whether it's Real Madrid, Manchester United, or even Schalke 04, their hard strength is quite a bit weaker than Barcelona.
You know, in the original timeline, Barcelona achieved the feat of a quintuple this season!
Their two-legged semi-final against Real Madrid could be said to be a flawless victory, not encountering any pressure throughout.
The final against Manchester United was even easier, directly making Ferguson's hands tremble, leaving behind a world-famous scene.
Even such a big boss was defeated by Arsenal, so what else is there to worry about?
Thinking of this, Fly made up his mind:
"The next three Champions League matches must showcase Arsenal's style. Without demonstrating dominance and suppression, those who don't usually watch football might really think Arsenal won against Barcelona purely by luck....."
....
April 24th.
On the thirty-fourth round of the Premier League, Arsenal traveled to challenge Bolton Wanderers away.
Since they had already clinched the League title, and also had to travel to the Bernabéu to challenge Real Madrid a few days later, Wenger simply waved his hand and fielded an almost entirely reserve team for this match.
It was precisely this fully-reserve match that instantly exposed Arsenal's true form.
1:2. Thanks to Suarez's goal, Arsenal avoided being blanked, but still lost their first League match of the season, missing out on maintaining their unbeaten record for the single season.
Regarding this, many fans and media outlets expressed regret....
What a great talking point, just gone like that.
However, Wenger and Fly were unconcerned.
After winning the League title, all their remaining energy was focused on the Champions League.
So-called records at the League level were not worth mentioning at all; they had no intention of wasting their time on them.
