Chapter 1 - THE FORCED UNION

The grand hall glittered under golden chandeliers, but Heavens barely noticed. Her hands trembled as she clutched the folds of her wedding dress, her heart hammering like a drum. She was supposed to marry Adam's brother—Robert—but fate had twisted cruelly. Now, she was about to marry Adam himself.

Adam stood at the altar, tall, perfect, and terrifying. His black eyes were storm clouds, his presence radiating control and barely contained fury. Heavens felt a chill crawl up her spine.

The priest began the ceremony, but Adam didn't wait. He stepped forward, every movement precise, every gaze cutting.

"You think I don't know?" he snarled, his voice low, deadly. "You killed him. Robert. My brother. And you thought you could take me, the Alpha, instead. Is that it?"

Heavens froze. "I… I didn't—"

"You did." Adam's words sliced through the hall. "Every smile, every step, every lie—everything led to this. You're a traitor. A murderer. And now, you're mine."

Gasps rippled through the crowd. Heavens' eyes gazed to where her parents and sister sat.parents stared blankly, eyes downcast. Even they didn't defend her.hot. tears threatened to flow down her cheeks. Everyone believed she had killed Robert. Everyone—but her.

"I swear, Adam, I didn't—" she began, but he cut her off with a roar.

"Silence! Do not speak to me as if I could ever believe a word. You are beneath me. And I'm the alpha, don't you ever forget that."

Her chest tightened. She wanted to run, to vanish, but she was trapped, bound by vows that felt like chains.

From the corner of the hall, Adam's gaze flicked to Sophie. Radiant, flawless, perfect. Her smile was sweet but calculated. Adam's eyes lingered just a fraction too long. Jealousy flared, irritation sparked, and beneath it all, something darker simmered—even as his hatred for Heavens burned hotter.

The priest's voice trembled. "Do you, Heavens, take this man—"

"I… I do," Heavens whispered, her voice barely audible.

Adam's lips curved into a thin, cruel smile that didn't reach his eyes. He believed she had killed Robert to claim him. Everyone else believed it too. Heavens was utterly alone.

Inside, Adam's mind was a storm—hatred, rage, jealousy, and an unnameable pull. Every glance at Heavens stoked the fire within him. Though he loathed her now, something dangerous and magnetic simmered beneath the surface.

Heavens was trapped. She had married the Alpha. And Adam… Adam was the storm that could destroy her.
