Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Shadows Over Heaven

A man named Haruto once lived in the small kingdom of Paraglecia. From the outside, it seemed like any ordinary realm one king, one queen, grand cathedrals, bustling markets. But Bishops were treated as God the Bishop's word was treated as laws or more like obligation,

One day, Haruto was listening to the Bishops speak about "God's word," and he noticed something. Whenever they spoke, they weren't actually saying anything specific. The Bishops were only using fancy terms to make the people think they understood, to make it seem like they had authority.

This made Haruto furious. He lunged forward, trying to punch the Bishop, but a Holy Knight stepped in. "You have no authority to hit a Bishop," the Knight said.

They're all lies! Stop holding me back! You think I'd stand by this?" Haruto shouted, struggling against the Holy Knight's grasp.

Haruto struggled violently, his fists thrashing against the Holy Knight's grip, but it was no use. The Knight's firm hands held him fast as they dragged him through the winding corridors of the Chapel. Moments later, he was thrown into a dark, cold cell, the silence pressing down on him as if the walls themselves knew the lies he had seen.

The Holy Knight leaned against the bars, arms crossed, his expression unreadable.

"Tell me," he said quietly, "where does all this aggression come from? Why do you resist so fiercely?"

Haruto didn't answer at first. He simply stared at the Holy Knight, jaw tight, fists still clenched. The cell was silent except for the faint echoes of footsteps and distant chanting from the chapel above.

"You think I'm just a rebellious fool, don't you?" Haruto finally said, his voice low but steady. "That I don't understand my place… that I should bow and stay quiet."

The Holy Knight's eyes narrowed, studying him. "No one refuses a Bishop without reason. Speak, or forever remain a prisoner of your own pride."

Haruto met his gaze, unflinching, neither yielding nor explaining. Silence stretched between them, thick and tense.

Haruto slumped against the cold stone wall of the cell, rubbing his sore wrists where the Knight had held him. The silence pressed down on him, broken only by faint chanting drifting from the chapel above. He curled his hands into fists, jaw tight, but didn't say a word.

The Holy Knight stayed at the bars, watching. After a long pause, he asked, "Do you really think fighting will get you anywhere? Why resist something bigger than you?"

Haruto looked up, meeting the Knight's eyes without flinching. "Because I'm not blind," he said, his voice quiet but firm.

The Knight studied him, tilting his head slightly. "You're not like the others. Foolish… or maybe brave. Only time will tell."

Haruto didn't answer. He leaned back against the wall, letting the cold stone bite into him. Thoughts ran through his head, plans forming, strategies shifting. The chapel's distant chanting faded into the background, and for the first time, he allowed himself a small, quiet satisfaction. He wouldn't break.

Haruto leaned back against the cold stone wall, the darkness of the cell settling around him. The distant chanting from the chapel faded, replaced by the steady sound of his own breathing.

A faint smirk lingered on Haruto's face. His voice was low, almost calm.

"I'll kill all of you. I may not be strong, but my words hit like a bullet."

The silence that followed felt heavier than any chain.
