"Speak!" I ordered again, my voice cutting through the heavy air as I glared at Alaric, practically vibrating with pure impatience.
"I'm so sorry, Alpha," he stammered out, struggling to steady his breath as he lowered his head. "I was busy overseeing the security for the Lycan Princess's wedding preparations, so I really didn't realize you wanted Ms. Anabel kept right by your side."
Before he could offer another pathetic excuse, I snapped. I surged forward, closing the distance between us in a single, terrifying second, and slammed my hand around the collar of his shirt, hauling him up.
"Enough with the long talk," I growled, pausing just inches from his pale face to let the threat hang in the air. "Tell me exactly what the issue is!"
