Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: First Harvest of Experience

"The wand is the most important tool and weapon in a wizard's life.

Most wizards can only cast spells when holding a wand. Without one, we aren't much different from ordinary people."

"Also, mortals who cannot use magic are generally referred to as Muggles in the wizarding world.

When you go to Hogwarts and reach your third year, you can even choose to take Muggle Studies there. I believe every student born in a Muggle family can get full marks."

"Quidditch is a well-known sports event in the wizarding world.

An excellent flying broomstick can often sell for an astronomical price. You can also learn this art of flying in Hogwarts' flying class."

"There are also countless spells in the wizarding world that can satisfy all your fantasies, both imaginable and unimaginable.

We can travel thousands of miles in an instant.

We can breathe underwater and soar through the sky.

Many injuries that seem extremely serious in the eyes of Muggles can be completely solved with just a small spell!

It is no exaggeration to say that the only thing that can restrain a wizard is our own imagination!"

...

Under Snape's description.

A majestic and vast magical world appeared before Lily with unprecedented clarity!

It made her intoxicated, immersed in the beauty that seemed within reach!

However, changing his tone, Snape said with regret:

"But the wizarding world also has its drawbacks.

It is not heaven; strife and hatred can also find soil to breed there.

And with magic aiding tyranny, once defeated, the outcome will likely be devastating."

"...Are there wars in the wizarding world too?"

"Yes, but these have little to do with us right now."

Time passed bit by bit.

It wasn't until the sun set that Lily expressed her gratitude, still wanting more.

"Thank you for explaining. Can I come find you to play in the future?"

"Whenever you're free."

"That's great! My sister will definitely be happy to hear this too. Can I ask you to tell us both next time?"

"I don't think she would be happy. In fact, I hold a pessimistic attitude towards your future relationship."

Putting away his wand.

Snape stroked the head of the drowsy Juliet and calmly met the eyes of the puzzled Lily.

"If you still want to maintain a normal relationship with your sister, it's best not to mention magic in front of her in the future."

"Why? Isn't magic interesting?"

Facing Lily's question, Snape just asked calmly:

"Have you ever eaten candy, Lily?"

"Of course."

"Then right now, in your sister's eyes, so-called magic is like you holding a jar full of candy in your hand.

She likes it very much.

But limited by her own talent, she cannot take a single candy from that jar, nor can she even beg for you to give her one.

Under such circumstances, anything you say about candy sounds like naked showing off to her."

"But, but I never thought that way!"

Lily's tone was full of grievance.

"You haven't thought about it shows you are kind. However, only what one cannot get is the best, not to mention magic that has appeared in every child's dream."

"...What should I do? I don't want to hurt Petunia, and I don't want to lose my sister."

"Act a bit foolish. Let your sister seem better than you in many things. Let her surpass you.

Maybe she will laugh at you at first to satisfy the twisted jealousy in her heart.

But time will smooth everything out.

One day she will suddenly realize that having a magical wizard isn't that great either. When that time comes, you and your sister will naturally reconcile."

Lily was lost in thought.

Snape didn't speak anymore. He stood up from the tree root first, then naturally extended his palm towards Lily.

The last trace of the setting sun sank.

Replacing it was Lily firmly grasping Eric's hand, and a brilliant smile blossoming on her face.

"Thank you for telling me this. If it weren't for you, I might have only discovered the problem when we drifted apart."

"You're welcome. This is what a friend should do."

Pausing slightly, Snape smoothly voiced the proposal he had planned long ago.

"Although you don't have a wand yet, you can already start learning some basic knowledge about magic.

If you are interested, I can temporarily serve as your teacher."

"Is that really okay? Wouldn't it be too much trouble for you?"

Lily was first surprised, then quickly looked at Snape hesitantly.

As the first friend she met, the boy in front of her not only patiently told her a lot of common sense about the wizarding world, but also pointed out the conflict between her and her sister so understandingly.

Not to mention now he was offering to teach her magic so generously and enthusiastically.

Even the usually carefree Lily felt deeply embarrassed, but because of the attraction brought by magic, she couldn't refuse decisively, falling into a dilemma for a moment!

However, Snape obviously had no intention of letting Lily go.

He had said what he needed to say and intervened where he needed to intervene.

Now that he had finally found a source of experience, and likely the only wizard student ignorant enough for him to be qualified to teach in the next two years, Snape wouldn't let her go no matter what!

Trouble?

Get over here!

"Of course not. We will be classmates at Hogwarts in the future. Talking about trouble is too distant."

Thinking for a few seconds, Snape said with a smile:

"How about this? Let's meet under this tree at nine o'clock every morning from now on, okay?

After all, the environment in town is really too poor.

Tomorrow I will bring some first-year Hogwarts books. Even without a wand, much of the knowledge inside can be of great help to students just starting with magic."

"Thank you. You are really a good person."

Lily looked at Snape with eyes full of gratitude.

However, thinking of something unknown, the corner of the boy's mouth opposite her twitched involuntarily.

Watching Lily leave.

The smile on Snape's face faded slightly. He called up the system, and several lines of newly obtained information appeared prominently on it!
