"It seems that the Tyranids are more than just an alien race determined to kill and devour everything for biomass. They are also excellent fighters."
Kardia yawned as he continued to watch the fight from his flying Golden Throne.
He had just woken up from a five-hour nap, and the first thing he did was check on the progress of the battle between his Shadow Soldiers and the carnivorous Tyranids.
"I am most surprised by Beru," Kardia began as he murmured to himself.
"Out of the sixteen Shadow Generals, he was the first to evolve in strength the fastest among all of them," Kardia mused to himself, as he checked the strength of his Shadow Soldiers through their shared link.
It was to be expected.
A shadow army with around 16 general-rank shadow soldiers who are incredibly strong in their own right is overkill for any other army.
Yes, what Kardia found out is that his Shadow Soldiers seem to be able to absorb the energy of their enemies.
It seems to be an innate ability or trait.
This innate ability allows them to absorb the energy of their enemies, allowing them to grow stronger, faster, and more durable, making them even more dangerous.
In front of these ever-growing, stronger shadow generals, who had spread across different parts of the land, the Tyranids that dared to confront them were either cut to pieces or blown up by magic spells.
However, as he mentioned earlier, Beru's astonishing growth in power surprised Kardia the most.
While he had expected the likes of Kamish, Tusk, and Igris—who had received optimizations from Raphael, just like all other shadow generals—to perform well, he never anticipated Beru's rapid increase in strength.
And this was because each Shadow General had been optimized by Raphael.

In addition to his offensive capabilities, Tusk could buff his allies, petrify enemies, drain their stamina, lower their physical and mental defenses, and induce pain and blindness.
Tusk truly had it all; after all, he was a formidable shaman.
However, with Raphael's perfect optimization, the effectiveness, range, power, potency, and control of Tusk's spells and abilities had greatly improved.
With his four orc bodyguards, Tusk was practically untouchable.
In fact, to say that Tusk's effectiveness had merely "increased" would be an understatement; it had reached a level of perfection.
This level of perfection made Tusk one of the few generals who made significant contributions to the war between Kardia and the Tyranids.
However, Beru was a true killing machine.

Now, Kardia understood why Beru fought Bellion for the position of Grand Marshal in Jinwoo's Shadow army.
Beru is a powerful being, both in a literal sense and in combat.
As shown in the anime, video game cutscenes, and webtoons, Beru possesses not only immense physical strength but also intelligence, speed, and the ability to adapt and consume other beings.
His capabilities include remarkable strength, speed, durability, and regeneration, all derived from being a shadow, as long as Kardia has enough psychic energy.
Additionally, Beru has acquired regeneration magic after consuming Min Byung-Gyu, even while he was still the Ant King back in Jeju Island.
He can fly using his wings, control his size, utilize poisons, create psychic barriers, and employ psychic abilities that he has recently gained.
One of Beru's most overpowered abilities is called "Gluttony."
It is not the same Unique Skill with the name of "Gluttony" of Rimuru Tempest, but it is similar to the Unique Skill "Starved" of the Orc lord of the first season.
As demonstrated in the anime and webtoon, Beru can consume other organisms and gain their abilities.
However, Beru's Gluttony differs from Kardia's sub-skill, Soul-Gluttony.
In a singular and specific way, Beru's ability is somewhat superior, or that was until Raphael, using the Hive Mind and "Food Chain" sub-skill, upgraded the sub-skill "Soul-Gluttony" with the information of Beru's skill.
With this skill, named "Gluttony," Beru gains both the abilities and knowledge of those he consumes INSTANTLY.
This explains why, during his battle against the Tyranids, Beru was able to eat one of the Tyranids with psychic abilities and use those powers immediately.
Given Beru's exceptionally strong mind and Kardia's ongoing consumption of the enormous energy of the Immaterium, including the "devouring" of the "Shadow in the Warp," which gives Kardia virtually unlimited psychic energy, Beru unleashed his new abilities without restraint.
Thus, you have a being capable of effortlessly defeating any Tyranid with raw physical power, also doing so at lightning speeds, while also commanding an army of ants, healing and regenerating himself, and gaining the abilities of those he consumes.
It's no wonder that Beru posed a significant challenge for both the hunters during the Jeju Island Raid and the enemies of Jinwoo after Jinwoo resurrected him through his authority.
To label Beru as a "problem" is an understatement; he is truly a monster in terms of strength.
This is why Kardia was taken aback.
Beru effectively claimed a considerable portion of the Tyranids for himself, and even with that vast amount of Tyranids, Beru did not fail.
In fact, Beru did more than any other Shadow General combined.
What amazed Kardia even more was the evolution of the shadow ants commanded by Raphael and Beru.
What does this mean?
If you are following the story closely, you'll remember that Kardia, even before summoning the shadows, had consumed multiple types of Tyranids using the Ultimate Skill "Azathoth, God of the Void."
Raphael, being someone who literally takes into consideration every minor detail, thus making her a perfectionist, had meticulously collected and separated each DNA strand from the Tyranids.
Within the Tyranid race, a single Tyranid might possess multiple types of DNA combined.
In fact, each type of Tyranid, from warriors to flying variants, represents a distinct variation in DNA.
For example, the flying Tyranids have the specific DNA that enables them to grow wings, and so on.
Well... This is common knowledge, or more like common sense.
But what does this have to do with the subordinate ants of Beru?
EVERYTHING.
Raphael, who saw Beru's gluttony skill, had an idea.
What if the red ants, now shadow ants, could do the same thing as the Tyranids?
Raphael, as she collected the DNA information of multiple organisms, began to perfect them by finding flaws and repairing them, leaving only perfect DNA.
After this was done, Raphael, using the "Food Chain" Synaptic Link that connected Kardia with his shadows, found the past memories of Beru. The memories of when he was alive before being defeated by Jinwoo.
Because Beru had eaten his dead mother, Beru had actually gained the ability to give "birth" to new Ants. But for that, he needed to have the "genetic" information of his specie.
That information was the thing that Raphael needed, and when she found it, she began to work.
Because Raphael can convert any data into other forms of data, Raphael was able to use the information to evolve different types of Ants. Not changing their physical appearance, but changing their role.
It was technically imitating the Tyranids, but doing so in a cleaner, more precise, and perfected manner.
Such a level of efficiency and perfection wouldn't be able to be replicated.
What kind of changes did Raphael make?
For example, now the ants can produce their own bio-weapons.
Well, in this case, it could be called more like a psychic-bio-weapon.
The ants can now shoot psychic-bio-plasma.
Of course, this plasma is not the same as the plasma of the Imperium of Man Plasma Cannon, or the Bio-Plasma of the Tyranids.
This psychic-bio-plasma is thousands of times more powerful, more stable, and faster than any form of plasma seen in the Imperium or even the bio-plasma of the Tyranids.
For the Elite Knight Ants that worked as the strongest ants below Beru, who was overwhelmingly more powerful than all of the Ants combined, Raphael forced them to evolve to ants that resembled Beru.
What does this mean?
They are now ants that can walk on two feet and move like humans can, think, and serve Beru better with more speed, strength, agility, durability, and so on.
They also have psychic abilities, although less powerful than Beru.
Well, they were never going to be more powerful than Beru.
Raphael had made sure that every Shadow General was going to be the strongest of the group. How did she do that? She created a loop.
Just like how if the Shadow grows stronger, Kardia grows stronger, the same happens.
If Beru's subordinates grow stronger, Beru grows stronger, and if Beru grows stronger, his subordinates grow stronger.
This way, each Shadow General can remain supreme over their designated groups.
Raphael had also modified Beru.
You know that Beru can modify his own body, like a transformation, where he distributes his biomass to go for speed?
Raphael created a form that is perfectly balanced across all categories, allowing Beru to demonstrate supreme superiority when he needs to go all out.

This wasn't necessarily bad; in fact, Kardia wanted Beru to eliminate more and more Tyranids. However, when Kardia said Beru needed to calm down, he meant that Beru should stop ragebaiting.
Yes, you heard it right—Beru was ragebaiting.
Along the way, Beru had consumed multiple types of Tyranids and had long ago learned how to speak their language.
Yes, the Tyranids have a language.
But Beru was abusing that ability.
He would start asking questions like:
"Where is your king?"
"Why are you so weak?"
"Your king does not compare to my king."
Yes, Beru was an exceptional ragebaiter.
Kardia thought that said ragebait could've worked on him if he were the Tyranids.
As you can expect, the Tyranids were extremely angry with Beru's words. They even responded back, saying things like they were going to devour Beru, and other insults that Kardia didn't understand.
Nevertheless, even if they tried to act on their promise, when they attacked Beru, they weren't able to compare to the might of the Ant King.
In fact, this talk back angered Beru even further.
It was like the Ragebaiter was falling for Ragebait, and he was ragebatiing even harder than the one that fell for the ragebait in the first place.
Some shit like that.
Kardia smiled as he stopped using his connection with the Shadow Generals.
"Well... I think it's time to move on to another problem: my skills," Kardia said to himself, a habit he had developed from being alone and unable to talk to other humans.
He truly needed to find people to talk to.
Raphael is his partner and literally soulmate, and while they talk a lot, Kardia knows that Raphael only wants to be inside his soul, taking care of his every move, not on the outside.
Kardia, with a thought, took control of the Vimana through the mental link he had with it, and with a sharp yet smooth turn, Vimana flew at incredible speeds to another part of the planet.
Kardia chose to go back towards the forest area where he first "spawned" into this world.
As Vimana flew towards that area, in pretty much no time, Kardia was already back in the area where he first "spawned," or where he was "reborn."
After settling down in an area, Kardia, who was seated on the golden throne of his personal ship, Vimana, turned to talk to his partner Raphael, who was inside his soul.
"Raphael, can you tell me about your current skill set?" Kardia asked, as he closed his red-golden eyes for a brief moment.
Kardia was incredibly curious about Raphael's abilities. After all, the majority of the skills that Raphael had demonstrated over the past few hours were ones Kardia hadn't known the Ultimate Skill "Raphael, Lord of Wisdom and Knowledge" possessed.
Sensing her Master's interest in her skills, Raphael agreed to explain her capabilities.

Kardia began reflecting on what this ability meant.
The power to jam the flow of energy is a significant advantage in any world that relies on energy to perform super abilities.
However, in the Warhammer 40k universe, it becomes even more overpowered.
Disrupting the flow of psychic energy in a large area could prevent an enemy fleet from ever leaving a battle, as they use Warp Engines to open a warp portal to navigate through the galaxy.
Additionally, this skill would allow him to interfere with the energy of many psykers while still being able to use his own powers whenever he wished.
In the world of Tensura, there was a being named Charybdis, the so-called "Child of Veldora," who possessed a skill called "Mana Jamming."
As you can expect from a skill of that name, this ability allowed the user to disrupt the flow of mana within a person and even in the surrounding environment.

Kardia was left speechless.
Of course, Kardia knew that once someone was able to manipulate or comprehend molecules, certain truths about the universe became readily apparent.
For Raphael, this was akin to gaining access to infinite knowledge and information, enabling her to understand and utilize it.
However, Kardia didn't expect Raphael to acquire all of those skills nearly instantaneously.
More impressive was that she was able to do this after being able to create such a long chain reaction, just because she acquired an important skill.
But this was expected and unexpected.
However, Kardia simply ignored this.
There was no time to explain this. He needed to plan for the future.
But even if he wanted to prepare for the future, he was still... thinking of what just happened.
"Damn..."
Kardia was genuinely surprised.
He really was.
In less than a day, at least from his perspective, he had transformed from someone sitting at his computer into a being with incredible levels of power.
Not an all-powerful being, as he doesn't have that level of strength, but at least he can have power.
He was essentially a god, both in the warp and in real space. But this was not enough.
He will train and gain more power. And he has his eyes on a particular path, but that is for later.
"I guess it is time to start seeing what I can do for the future."
Kardia sighed as he jumped from where he was sitting. He had wasted enough time trying to understand his abilities, and instead, he had gotten new abilities.
