Character Profile: Elena Roman
Full Name: Elena Roman
Relation: Ren's mother; wife of Ray Roman
Origin: Distant/estranged branch of the Zenin clan. Left the clan and the country to build an anonymous life abroad, adopting a Western name specifically to avoid being traced back.
Personality: Warm and resilient, with a playful side that shows itself constantly. She can hold herself under immense pressure, this trait being what gave her the confidence to flee Japan with Ray.
Cursed Technique: Chord
Chord allows Elena to form a "soul-level" connection between herself and another (or multiple) willing participant that visually manifests as thread-like strings linking the souls together. A condition of the technique is consent, where the recipient must knowingly and willingly open their soul for Chord to work.
Once synced, Elena and the recipient can tap into each other's CE reserves and even channel their Cursed Technique through the other person. Synced individuals can also share emotions and memories.
The downside is that Chord eats up an immense amount of CE, so even with multiple individuals, it can only function for a short while before Elena's CE runs out and Chord starts to sap at the synced individual's reserves as well.
Elene likes to call her Cursed Technique "The Power of Caring."
