Chapter 414 - Chapter 414: Youth is So Beautiful

Chapter 414: Youth is So Beautiful

Seeing that Might Guy had regained his vitality, Naruto was relieved.

"Alright, Guy-sensei, I still have things to handle. Go to the Hokage Office and find my Wood Clone to approve your request."

Saying this, Naruto opened the window of the Principal's Office and jumped out.

After leaving the school, Naruto headed straight for Konoha Hospital to pick someone up.

He wanted to have some fun and relax with his girlfriend during these two days back; things would get busy again after a while.

Hokage Office.

"Naruto, I've found the location of Yomotsu Hirasaka."

Upon hearing that Naruto had returned, Jiraiya came to the Hokage Office immediately.

"Is that so? Perfect timing. Help me approve these documents; we can talk while we work."

Naruto's Clone handed several documents to Jiraiya, keeping two for himself.

"Fine..."

Jiraiya, who hadn't expected to still be approving documents after retiring, looked dejected as he pulled a chair from the next office and sat down beside Naruto.

"I met Dan in the Land of Demons."

"Kato Dan?"

Although slightly surprised, the movements of Naruto's Clone did not stop.

"Yes, Dan has come out of the Pure Land. I hope you can go to the Land of Demons to see him."

Jiraiya nodded as he untied the scroll from his waist, placed it on the desk, and pushed it over.

"This is the information I've gathered. As for the specifics, you'll need to discuss them in detail with Dan, Sixth Hokage."

After finishing the document in his hand, Naruto opened the scroll and began reading its contents.

Pure Land, Sanzu River, Yellow Springs, Yomotsu Hirasaka...

A youth with the Rinnegan...

This is truly interesting.

"I see, but now isn't the time. We don't know the strength of the Six Paths Sage, nor do we know the price for a living person to enter the Pure Land."

"If we are to go to the Pure Land, let's wait until we've taken over the Hidden Mist and those small nations first."

The Clone rolled the scroll back up and set it aside.

"How is Nagato doing now?"

"He's alright for now. Konan has been taking care of him. Both Tsunade and Orochimaru say his body is severely overextended and he needs a body replacement."

Indeed, last time Nagato had managed to survive through his sheer physical constitution and resilience, after which Naruto had handed him over to Tsunade for treatment.

Now that the diagnosis was out, it wasn't unexpected.

"Has he been causing trouble?"

For Nagato, who had lost the Rinnegan, it was hard to say whether he was weakened or strengthened in the short term. After all, the Rinnegan didn't belong to him, and his own mastery of the Five Elements was also very formidable.

Hearing Naruto's words, Jiraiya momentarily felt like he was in a piece of street literature aimed at a female audience.

Overbearing Daimyo/Hokage's Forced Love?

"He quieted down after hearing that you killed Uchiha Obito."

In fact, he hadn't been quiet; instead, he had laughed loudly, saying he had long known Uchiha Obito would meet a miserable end.

"Mhm."

The Clone nodded, seemingly unsurprised by this.

"A teacher for a day is a father for a lifetime. You are his teacher, so you should look after him and guide him. The flames of hatred have already burned away too much; it's time to look toward the future."

He paused, his pen tapping on another document regarding the preliminary post-war reconstruction plan for the Land of Rain. "In the future, the reconstruction and development of Amegakure, and even the entire Land of Rain, will still need Nagato and Konan to return and take charge."

The name Pain still carries immense influence among the civilians of the Hidden Rain Village and the Land of Rain. If this influence is used correctly, it will be a powerful unifying force.

We can find a way to make those remnants of the Rain Faction still hiding in the shadows abandon their past opposition and shift their energy toward building their homeland. A stable and developing Land of Rain is good for Konoha and the Ninja World."

"I understand."

Jiraiya responded solemnly.

Teaching and guiding Nagato toward a new path was exactly what he wished for in his heart.

Now that he had a clear direction and support, he would naturally give it his all.

Following that, the two fell into a peculiar "working state."

They chatted idly about old comrades, future plans, and the state of the Ninja World, but their pens never stopped, rustling as they approved the seemingly endless stream of documents.

After Naruto finished the documents, he took out a scroll and began writing a book.

Jiraiya glanced over and saw the title.

"Volume II, Chapter 92: Zhao Zilong Slays Five Generals, Zhuge Liang Outwits Three Cities."

Who are Zhao Zilong and Zhuge Liang?

Jiraiya was completely bewildered. Naruto had actually started writing books too?

And it looked like he had written quite a lot.

He had already reached Chapter 92.

This wasn't unreasonable; writing books could be quite profitable sometimes.

However, it didn't look like a title for an erotic novel, which made it hard to make money.

In the Ninja World, it was very difficult to make money with non-erotic novels; Jiraiya knew this all too well.

His first book had been a total flop, and only upright people like Minato were willing to read it. However, Icha Icha Paradise and its sequel, Icha Icha Violence, had been incredibly popular.

Looking at the novel Naruto was writing and then at the documents next to him, Jiraiya felt an urge to leave.

"Keep at it. You've only been the Fifth Hokage for a month or two. Once the Main Body leaves Konoha again, management will fall back to you."

The Clone saw through Jiraiya's thoughts, glanced at him, and continued writing.

If the Main Body treated him like a donkey, then he would treat the people of Konoha like mules.

"I've already retired..."

Jiraiya tried to struggle.

"According to the Main Body's original plan, he intended for you to work for a few more years, letting you serve as a Puppet Hokage first."

The Clone's pen didn't stop, and his tone remained flat. "But later, the Main Body felt that things like total war and the unification of the Ninja World, which are destined to carry historical controversy and infamy, shouldn't be the primary responsibility of someone like you who has already given most of your life to Konoha."

"So now, the Main Body has become the Hokage, and the pressure has been shifted to Shikamaru's side. That kid will have to bite the bullet and face it too."

Thinking of what Naruto had said during their heart-to-heart earlier, Jiraiya's heart was filled with mixed emotions. Finally, it turned into a long sigh as he raised a hand to his forehead. "That kid from the Nara Clan... I really don't know if it's a blessing or a curse for him to have met you and become your comrade."

"He's someone who's very afraid of trouble," the Clone's lips curled up almost imperceptibly with a mischievous smile. "But the Main Body just happens to be... a trouble magnet, and a massive one at that."

Those words were accurate.

Wherever Uzumaki Naruto went, it seemed destined that things would not be peaceful.

He had only been out for a year and was already close to conquering the Ninja World.

"So, what is your Main Body doing right now?"

Jiraiya finally couldn't help his curiosity and asked.

He had only come over because he heard that Naruto's Main Body had returned to the village.

The Clone stopped his pen and slightly tilted his head to look out the window.

It was near noon, and the sunlight was just right, streaming through the window, warm and bright.

Summer was coming to an end; the air was less sweltering and more refreshing.

"He's with those girls."

The Clone withdrew his gaze and looked back at the documents, but his tone was much more relaxed.

"It's rare for him to be back; he needs some personal time."

He paused, a hint of emotion in his voice.

For both men and women, youth is the most precious time.

Like a flower bud about to bloom; like... the sun at eight or nine in the morning.

With the sun shining brightly and vitality overflowing, how could he be trapped in a place that reeks of decay?

"Youth is so beautiful, yet the world is always unpredictable.

Before heading into the storms that must be faced, one should leave behind more beautiful memories worth cherishing."
