This was already the sixth exclusive jar Amon had received, so he cracked it open lazily. He didn't bother stepping away from his beach chair this time, and he didn't ask Robin or Lily to look elsewhere. He just broke it open right there.
Both of them turned to look, curiosity pulling their attention toward him.
"Is that..."
"A golden jar?"
Amon's jars came in all sorts of colors, but neither of them had ever seen a golden one among the selection. Before they could ask anything more, Amon had already split it open, and three items tumbled out trailing faint golden light.
He caught all three before they hit the chair, and the system ran its scan before he'd even finished looking at them.
[PUBG Large Medkit]: An item originating from the game PUBG. Regardless of the severity of injury sustained, as long as a single breath of life remains, this medkit will restore the user to full health.
A full-health revival, no matter the damage taken.
Amon let out a quiet breath. A life saver. It functioned the same way as the item Garp had pulled from his jar some time ago, both designed for the same purpose: keeping someone alive at the moment it mattered most. Even in a world where very few people could seriously threaten him anymore, something like this wasn't the kind of thing you turned down. He thought briefly of Whitebeard at Marineford. If the man had held one of these in his final moments, even Garp and Sengoku combined might not have been enough to stop what came next.
He set that thought aside and moved to the second item.
[Zoan Devil Fruit - Mythical White Tiger Model]: A Zoan-type Devil Fruit of the Mythical variety. Consumption grants the power of the White Tiger.
A Mythical Zoan. Not entirely unlike what Marco possessed.
Amon turned it over in his hand and then set it down. He had no intention of eating it himself. Taking on a Devil Fruit meant taking on a weakness, and he'd long since moved past the point where that trade-off made sense. His strength had already neared the upper ceiling of what this world had to offer. Introducing a vulnerability to seawater seemed a poor decision at any level of power. Still, the fruit was far too valuable to discard. Lily, perhaps, or someone else down the line. He tucked it away for later and picked up the third item.
[Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu Card]: Originating from the world of Naruto. When used, the wielder can perform the Water Dragon Jutsu without hand seals. Power scales with the user's own strength.
Water Style. Water Dragon Jutsu.
Amon read the description a second time and felt something stir in him that he hadn't expected. The jutsu wasn't purely about damage. Its real value was in what it could do on open water, pulling the sea itself into the attack, shaping it into a weapon. In a world full of Devil Fruit users, dropping a water dragon on someone was a clean and decisive way to end a fight. A single clean hit and most ability users would be neutralized on the spot.
He didn't hesitate. He pressed the card against his chest and activated it. The card dissolved into light and sank into him, and for a moment his mind filled with something that hadn't been there before. The hand seal sequences, the sensation of the technique forming, the shape of the water as it gathered and took form. All of it arrived at once, perfectly intact, as though he had practiced it for years.
[Ding! Congratulations, Host. B-rank Jutsu successfully acquired: Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu. Each use requires a fixed amount of stamina. No chakra needed. Cooldown: 60 seconds.]
Amon stood up from the beach chair.
As a dedicated fan of Naruto, there was absolutely no chance he was going to learn this technique and then sit quietly with it. He walked to the bow of the ship, raised his hands, and began moving through the seals at speed.
Robin and Lily watched him from behind, exchanging a look. His hands were moving in patterns neither of them recognized, precise and deliberate, nothing like any fighting style they'd seen from him before.
Then the seals finished.
The sea in front of the ship erupted.
A water dragon surged up from the surface, enormous, easily thirty meters from end to end, its body churning with the pressure of the ocean behind it. It held its shape in the air with a low, rolling roar of gathered force.
Robin went very still. The weight of it pressed down on her from across the deck. She didn't need to think carefully about what that thing would do to a person. The answer was immediate and obvious.
Amon studied it for a moment, nodding to himself.
Out beyond the ship, a massive Sea King had surfaced from the disturbance. He pointed at it.
"Go."
The water dragon answered with a sound like crashing surf and shot forward. It crossed the distance in an instant and hit the Sea King with an impact that shook the air, a single detonating crack that rolled across the water in every direction.
Where the Sea King had been, there was nothing.
Amon stared at the empty water for a moment. Even knowing what the system had produced for him, the result was a little beyond what he'd expected. The creature had simply ceased to exist. He wasn't sure "powerful" quite covered it.
Still. He was satisfied.
"That's incredible and unbelievable! How did you do that?"
Robin and Lily were both staring at him, one with wide eyes and the other with her hands pressed over her mouth in open disbelief. The sheer scale of what they'd just watched had stripped away whatever composure they'd been holding onto.
"Trade secret," Amon said, and smiled.
Explaining would have taken longer than it was worth, and he doubted either of them would have known what to make of it anyway.
