Chapter 139: Cocolia's Movements
Listening to the voice behind her, Vita immediately raised her hands high and turned around, looking at Kevin behind her.
Kevin's body erupted with an astonishing chill.
It was practically telling her in plain terms that she had better be honest; any sudden movements, and she would be frozen into an ice sculpture and smashed to pieces.

"I won't ask a second time."
Vita immediately nodded in a panic, like a pestle pounding garlic. "Please come with me. Rest assured, she is fine. Um, it's just that she might be slightly different from what you expect."
"Hm?" Kevin listened to Vita's words with some confusion, but he still rested the greatsword on Vita's shoulder, signaling her to stop talking and lead him there.

"How long... have I slept?" Griseo shook her head, feeling that this hibernation had been exceptionally long. Soon after, she sensed a familiar color in her surroundings.
Looking up, she saw Kevin standing nearby, holding a greatsword. As she looked at his figure, Griseo also noticed that, upon seemingly confirming her safety, Kevin's originally tense shoulders relaxed for a fraction of a second.
"Uncle... Kevin?" Griseo's voice carried uncertainty. How could Uncle Kevin be here?
"Something happened, so I came looking for you." Kevin held his greatsword, looking at the young woman before him who was completely different from his memories.
Unlike the tender and innocent little painter in his memory, the person before him was already a graceful young woman. Although traces of her past self could still be seen in her features, what was more prominent was an aura that belonged uniquely to Griseo.
"Griseo," Kevin looked at Griseo and said softly. "You've grown up."
"It really is Uncle Kevin?" Griseo stepped carefully out of the stasis pod. "Did I sleep for a long time?"
"A long time. It must have been a long time." Kevin nodded, then glanced at Vita beside them. Truth be told, he really wanted to chop her down with a single swing of his sword. But he could sense that there was a very powerful entity lurking and spying nearby.
That entity would not be easy to deal with. He had not yet returned to his prime, nor did he have a handy weapon. He lacked the confidence to eliminate her while also protecting Griseo at the same time.
If he hadn't found her, that would have been one thing. But now that he had found her, it was impossible for him to let Griseo suffer any more harm.
"Come with me. I'll explain on the way." Kevin shot a glance at Vita, who was huddled in the corner putting on a 'don't look at me, I'm completely harmless' act.
This person was relatively well-behaved. After confirming she wasn't trying to pull any tricks, Kevin looked at Griseo. "Is there anything you need to bring along?"
