Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

After leaving the restaurant, Jena and Jeslin walked around the market. They looked at the shops that were for sale. As they walked around, they couldn't find the shop they wanted. Finally, Jena and Jeslin walked towards a women's clothing store that was crowded with visitors.

Jena entered the store, followed by Jeslin behind her. They were both greeted warmly by the store clerk. Jena then looked around at the women's clothing, which all looked very beautiful, even though the styles were very outdated. However, the clothes still looked beautiful, and she planned to slightly alter the styles to make them look more modern.

Jena and Jeslin then picked out some women's clothes for herself, Jeslin, and her mother, as well as some men's clothes for their father. After choosing all the outerwear, Jena also didn't forget to buy women's and men's underwear for all of them, because their underwear was also running out.

After paying for all their purchases, they immediately left the store. Jena and Jeslin then went into the store next door that sold shoes. Jena told Jeslin to choose shoes for their father and mother, while Jena herself chose shoes for the two of them. After paying for the shoes they had chosen at the cashier, they both immediately left the store.

Jena and Jeslin also stopped by a store that sold basic necessities, because the supply of basic necessities at home had run out. Jena bought rice, flour, sugar, oil, and meat. After finishing, Jena waved her hand to put all her groceries into her dimensional space when no one was looking.

Even though Jena and Jeslin could take out any food and items they wanted, it would be very dangerous if other people found out. They could be hunted down by people who wanted their necklace and ring.

After finishing their shopping, Jena and Jeslin returned to the market. They saw an old man who wanted to sell his dairy cow and his horse-drawn cart, which was still in good condition. However, no one was interested in buying the cow and cart because the old man's asking price was quite expensive.

Jeslin felt very sorry for him. She pulled her sister, Jena, who was walking without paying attention to her surroundings.

"Sis, let's buy the old man's goods," said Jeslin.

"What for? We don't really need them," replied Jena, frowning.

"I feel sorry for the old man, sis. Look, his body is very weak. If he continues to sell under the hot sun like this, he will faint soon," said Jeslin sadly.

Jena took a deep breath. She didn't like to see her sister sad. Jeslin had a soft heart, especially when she saw elderly people or children who were hurt.

"Okay, let's go there," said Jena, taking Jeslin's hand and leading her to where the old man was selling his goods.

The old man looked pale and didn't seem to be in good condition. Jena tried to assess the old man's health through her inner eye. She saw that he had a lump, which looked like a malignant tumor. Fortunately, the tumor had not spread or grown. The only treatment was to remove the lump through surgery, but medicine in this era did not yet know what surgery was.

"Grandfather, are you okay?" Jeslin asked anxiously as she held the old man's arm.

Jeslin saw that the old man almost fell when he tried to stand up to greet them. Fortunately, Jeslin managed to hold his arm so that the old man did not fall to the ground. At an old age, falling while sitting is very dangerous because it can cause paralysis.

"Thank you, child, for your help," said the grandfather.

"Let's take shelter first. It's very hot here, and you're sick. You're old; why don't you rest at home?" said Jena softly as she helped the grandfather lean against a tree.

"Jeslin, buy some drinks and food for Grandpa," said Jena as she handed Jeslin two silver coins.

"Yes, sis," replied Jeslin, then immediately ran towards the food and drink vendor. After paying, Jeslin quickly ran back carrying a bag of food and drinks.

"Here are the drinks, Grandpa. Let's drink first," said Jeslin as she gave the drink and food package to the grandfather.

"Thank you, child," said the grandfather as he drank half a glass.

The grandfather's name was Grandpa Fuji. Actually, he had been very thirsty and hungry since earlier, but because his cow and horse-drawn cart had not sold, he could not buy food because he had no money at all.

"Grandpa, eat first. After that, I will buy all of your merchandise so you can go home immediately," said Jena.

Grandpa Fuji was surprised, then nodded his head with teary eyes. Jena let Grandpa Fuji eat quietly until he finished his rice. Jeslin, who saw this, smiled happily.

"Thank you for the food and drink, child," said Grandpa Fuji sincerely.

"You're welcome, Grandpa. So how much are the cow and horse-drawn cart?" asked Jena, getting straight to the point.

"Do you really want to buy them?" asked Grandpa Fuji.

"Of course. Just tell us the price," replied Jena.

"All right, kid. Grandpa will sell the cow and horse-drawn carriage for two gold coins. If you want to bargain, that's fine too."

"I'll buy them for four gold coins. The horse-drawn carriage is still in very good condition, and the cow is a dairy cow that can produce milk, right?" said Jena.

Grandpa Fuji nodded his head.

"That's why I think four gold coins is a fair price," explained Jena.

"Grandpa, if we may ask, why are you selling your cow and horse-drawn cart?" asked Jena, because from what she could see, Grandpa Fuji loved the cow and horse-drawn cart very much and would not sell them unless he had to.

Grandpa Fuji sighed heavily. He looked at the two girls in front of him who had helped him.

"Grandpa really didn't want to sell the cow and horse-drawn cart if he didn't have to. Grandpa is sick, and Grandpa's wife is also sickly. Grandpa's two children are also sick, so they can't work anymore. We have no money left. The only assets Grandpa has that can still generate income are this cow and horse-drawn cart, so Grandpa wants to sell them to buy medicine for his wife and two children. As long as they recover, Grandpa won't regret selling the cow and horse-drawn cart," said Grandpa Fuji with a sad face.

Jena and Jeslin, who heard this, also felt concerned.

"If I may ask, what is wrong with your wife and two children?" asked Jena.

"I don't know either. At first they had a fever, then spots appeared on their skin, followed by red blisters that were very itchy. The blisters have now spread to their faces, necks, arms, legs, and entire bodies. They also feel very itchy and have lost their appetite. They haven't eaten for two days," said Grandpa Fuji with a gloomy face. He himself currently feels warm and dizzy.

"Grandpa, I think I know what disease they have. Do you have a fever now?" asked Jena.

"How do you know, child?" asked Grandpa Fuji in surprise.

"Grandpa, don't worry. My sister understands medicine. She will give them medicine to cure this chickenpox," replied Jeslin.

"Chickenpox?" asked Grandpa Fuji.

"Yes. The disease that your wife and two children are suffering from is called chickenpox. Chickenpox in adults is very contagious because the virus can spread through the air and be transmitted from person to person. You are also at high risk of infection because you live together, have physical contact, or use items that have been used by the patient," explained Jena in language that Grandpa Fuji could easily understand.

"Grandpa, you have to give them plenty of water to drink to prevent dehydration. Make them soft foods too. Use loose-fitting, soft, comfortable clothing. And what you must not do is scratch the chickenpox rash or blisters because it will leave permanent scars," Jena warned.

"I will give you all some medicine. It looks like Grandpa has also been infected. Here, take this medicine, Grandpa," said Jena as she gave him paracetamol to relieve the fever, headache, and aches that Grandpa Fuji was feeling.

After that, Jena also took out calamine powder to reduce itching, antihistamine pills to reduce itching from within the body, and pills to treat the chickenpox virus. She put all the medicine into a glass bottle through her mind.

"Grandpa, do they still have a fever?" asked Jena.

"They don't have a fever anymore, dear," replied Grandpa Fuji.

"That's good. Rub this powder all over their bodies, and give them the pills three times a day. Grandpa can also take these pills if spots start to appear on his body," explained Jena.

"All right, dear. Thank you very much," said Grandpa Fuji with emotion. "There are still young girls who care about an old man like me."
