Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Motivation Now Formed

Narration

Steve waking up in a cold sweat somehow even in iron armor jumps off of it, landing straight on his feet like a damn cat, pulling out his sword and shield out of straight paranoia Steve realizes that the danger is now very real.

Not from the hordes of undead creatures, not from the army of the infernal Nether, or even the people at The End of existence. "Okay me, don't panic, don't panic, you clearly have a plan for this. You can do something against that guy... Can Herobrine be trapped in the Void?"

Steve begins to plan against '"Herobrine", or whatever the entity is, in the hieroglyphics the first being most likely "Herobrine" was torn apart of the Gods. Now, how do you summon the Gods? Steve has no clue.

He doesn't even know what or who the Gods are, one was the sun, one was the moon, and the other was something. For all he knows they could be more than three, maybe there's twelve, maybe there's twenty of them.

Steve scraps that idea, although it does seem good at first-it's stupid when you put a single finger's worth of pressure on it. Next idea is fighting "Herobrine" in a fist fight, or in any fight.

That's also stupid, Steve is a mortal compared to "Herobrine" who 1ved an entire species and multiple Gods, and he seemingly nearly won as he can't find anyone like him anymore. Maybe he's weakened or maybe he has become stronger after his defeat, either way Steve doubt he can win against a Demigod.

Though he can get stronger, potions, prep time, better gear, etc. Can "Herobrine" win against an immortal warrior with 9000 totems? Probably. Or maybe an orbital strike from above?

However, Steve has a significant problem in both of his plans that he seemly can't change... Time, "Herobrine" now knows about him and his existence-or maybe he already did know, how is he going to prepare an orbital strike from above if he has less than a day to gather the materials and survive?

How is he going to face against a Demigod in a 1v1 if he can't even get more than five totems of undying? This doesn't matter because even if the chances of winning are slim, the chances of him surviving if he does nothing are zero.

Bursting out of his now unsafe home he begins to jump sprint towards north, hoping to find a village.

'Villagers, I need villagers, wait... Can I even get enchantments fast enough before that freak catches me?' Steve thinks and then changes his goal, find structures to loot or just mine in a new biome where diamonds spawn more in.

Jumping and running through the forests of his spawn point he begins to notice something, the mobs that are spawning seem to being spawned faster, moving faster, even darting onto his exact location almost immediately.

Ducking under a zombie's grab, slicing it diagonally across the chest and kicking it away, he seems to have changed, he doesn't seem to brace for the impact of the hits, but instead now look for ways to dodge the strikes.

Continuing on his way after detonating a creeper with flint and steel he crafted before his odyssey began. Eventually after running over 1,000 blocks, he encountered a desert-mesa biome mix.

Aka the best biomes for mining diamonds... Immediately beginning to look for natural holes in the ground, ravines, he finds one that is quite massive. stretching for maybe over a hundred blocks.

Pulling out a crafting table and crafting a bucket he jogs over to small river. Scooping some of it up the rest rush in to fill it in, an infinite source of water.

"Well, might as well die trying to do this than fighting that thing." Steve says to himself before he jumps into the ravine, bucket in hand full of water, falling down now a couple blocks away from the ground he places the water landing in it.

Immediately looking around for valuable resources such as Diamonds, Lapis, or lava Steve pinpoints all of them. A diamond vein with at least two, a lapis vein with four being exposed alone, and a lava pool in a cave in the side of the ravine.

His mind now getting used to the dangers of the world he's in spots three zombies approaching him. Switching to his iron sword he approaches the group of zombies and begins to quickly dispatch them with ease.

The slow mindless zombies make easy combatants, surprisingly even with less than a day of experience, Steve exhibits an almost instinctual mastery of combat, adapting almost immediately with a fluidity that belies his supposed inexperience.

Sidestepping a strike from a zombie and a bite from the other Steve grabs one and toss it into a wall, kicking the second one on its back, and then dispatching the third with a pierce of his sword through the skull.

The first one charging at him once more was met with a shield blocking its tackle, slamming the creature back into the wall before driving his sword through its head, Steve turns towards the final one.

The final one getting back up shambles towards Steve, seemly slower than the others, Steve realizes that this particular one may have been a zombie longer allowing its motor functions to decay.

Deciding to try something new with his new sweet test dummy, Steve attempts to sweep kick it, failing miserably. When he attempts to get down and sweep its legs he falls flat on his ass.

However maybe the Gods themselves felt pity upon Steve. Attempting to give him reason for his terrible kick an arrow wiz past his head and into the zombie's. Steve getting back up with a bit of a stumble sees a skeleton standing further back in the shadows, ready to launch another arrow.

Reacting swiftly, Steve ducks behind a stone wall he made, narrowly avoiding a second projectile as he swaps to his shield. Going through an opening with his shield raised he blocks another arrow, running at the skeleton at a pace that seems beyond human.

Coming in contact with the skeleton Steve absolutely bulldozes it into the cavern wall, almost immediately shattering it, leaving in 1 hp Steve delivers a right hook to the jaw breaking it.

Steve gets a feeling about crushing the skeleton, or maybe it was about dominating it, breaking it down and beating it into a state that was below him. About being better than it and ensuring it understood its place in the pecking order.

Steve then snaps out of it, that strange satisfaction now disappearing. 'What the hell was that,' he thought, a bad taste in his mouth as he tried to reconcile his sudden, aggressive impulse with his otherwise normal non egotistical survival plan.

Getting rid of those thoughts he begins to continue his interrupted mining process, quickly extracting the exposed diamond and lapis veins before proceeding towards the lava pool with a newly crafted diamond pickaxe.

'Eight diamonds, forty-three lapis, a decent amount of coal, iron, and a little bit of gold. Now time for the obsidian.' Steve thoughts changed as he bridged up towards the lava pool and began to use the speed-runner method of making the portal.

Using a formation of blocks that doesn't look like it would be a frame for a portal he pours water first and then covers it with lava. Creating the obsidian portal frame.

With a flint and steel, he ignites the portal, the familiar purple shimmer and glow of the portal beckon to him. Stepping through, he found himself in the Nether, a crimson-hued dimension, one soaked in flames and maybe the souls of the damned.

Walking around he realizes he's in a Nether Waste biome, one of the worst biomes of them all, due to its lack of resources and prevalence of hostile mobs, only topping is the Basalt Deltas. But at that point Steve might as well build a new portal and hope for the best.

Taking in the sights of this hot destination Steve notices how he doesn't exactly feel hot, sure the air is hot he can tell, but even with iron armor he can't feel the heat affecting him. Another new thing about his biology, though he doubts he's immune to lava or flame.

Though this place isn't exactly a paradise, if he had to describe it, some biomes would be a hostile paradise for a person like him. Piglins began to appear, armed with crossbows and golden swords, Steve begins to hide behind a hole he made quickly.

Mining enough room for a crafting table Steve creates a golden helmet to match iron armor, he still hasn't found enough diamonds. (His dumbass forgot to get more of them.)

Digging himself out of the hole he approaches the piglins, them seemly no longer ready to fight. He even saw a child come from behind the group and attempt to approach him, 'It's... Oddly kinda cute.' Steve thought.

Pulling gold out of his inventory Steve begins to trade with the piglins, observing their curious snorts and excited gestures as they exchanged various nether-specific items for his gold ingots.

However, unlike the game Steve can actually bargain and decide what he wants to get, after a couple of hand gestures Steve eventually gets a trade going for some ender pearls, spectral arrows, and even some soul sand.

Before he left the group of friendly piglins he gave the little one a golden ingot, then he walked away in the opposite direction to find a fortress.

The journey to locate a Nether Fortress was a hell in it of itself, besides the fact that he nearly fell into lava pits, got smacked around by zombified piglins, and almost got shot by a ghast.

Eventually after going through a Basalt Delta, a Soul Sand Valley, and a Crimson Forest, Steve finally stumbled upon the imposing dark brick structure of a Nether Fortress. Its formidable architecture, loomed in the distance, hinting at the bullshit he was about to go through.

Bracing himself Steve breaks into it through bridging, navigating around the halls of it he barely encounters anything, this however does nothing to stop his paranoia, as he cautiously proceeds.

Steve on guard notices a withered stone blade coming directly at him, prompting him to raise his shield and crash his iron axe into its wielder's skull. The withered skeleton only being sent back a couple of paces before it swung its blade wildly in a desperate attempt to regain its footing.

Steve countered again with another swing of his axe, embedding it into the skeleton's skull, and crushing it into dust. Though before Steve could continue on his looting through the fortress, he heard the distinct noise of multiple people running, things running at him.

Pulling out some cobblestone Steve constructs a barrier in the middle allowing him to stab the approaching hoard of skeletons in the shins. (Yes, he is cheesing them.) The skeletons, now practically harmless began to drop like flies by Steve's iron sword, he even got lucky getting two withered skulls.

Continuing on his path he eventually found the blaze spawner room. Not having time to do it properly he also proceeds to cheese it. Once he got enough blaze rods, he quickly crafted eyes of ender.

With about 13 of them he began to depart from the nether hoping to locate a stronghold and confront the Ender Dragon. Once reaching his Nether portal he stepped through, finding himself back in the familiar overworld, the sun now setting as he emerged from the shimmering purple gateway.

Finding himself back in the ravine Steve remembers he needs to grab diamonds, digging down to y -59 to begin his search for his blue drip.

Using a strip-mine crawl technique, he began to carefully mine and search for diamonds, eventually uncovering a rich diamond vein Steve now has full diamond armor and the basic tools.

Going back up to the surface Steve now covered in diamonds throws up one of the eyes of ender he crafted. The eye of ender floating towards the ground, directly below Steve...

Picking it back up he begins to dig down. And eventually he does reach it a complex subterranean structure, an ancient stronghold, replete with libraries and corridors leading to the portal room.

Immediately going to the library for the books he mines them all and then builds an enchantment setup. He even looted the stronghold for any additional resources that he might have missed and found diamonds, a golden apple, and some good, enchanted books.

Crafting an anvil, he applies sharpness IV on his diamond sword, along with protection III on his new diamond armor.

(Sword: Sharpness IV, Mending, Unbreaking II, and Fire Aspect I.

Armor: Protection III, Unbreaking I, and Thorns I.

Pickaxe: Efficiency II

And I'm getting lazy again.)

After preparing himself with these enchantments, Steve was now decently equipped to deal with the dragons, sure it wasn't netherite but, it would do the job for now.

Going into the portal room now with 4 golden apples after he crafted them, he places down the eyes of ender. Each with a plop noise he ignites the portal, walking back and bracing himself-Steve runs and jumps through the portal ready to face the Ender Dragon.

However not all is what it seems instead of arriving to the end a hand grabs him, now he's in some Blackstone castle? His castle...
