Each of the Gorosei originally possessed Yonko Level strength, yet it now seemed that the power they had shown during the Whole Cake Island War had been far from their true limit. With the help of that unknown drug, they could apparently draw out even more of their potential.
However, considering that these people were, in a sense, undying, even severe side effects would mean little to them—something they could simply ignore.
In the monitoring room, Vegapunk watched the Gorosei all appear and felt his mind go blank. His legs gave out, and he slumped to the floor, voice trembling as he murmured, "The Gorosei… all of them are here. It's over; we have no chance of winning!"
Vista and the others were filled with complicated emotions at the sight. They had personally witnessed the Gorosei's strange, unfathomable power and their immortality on Cake Island, and they knew all too well that this was a level of strength completely beyond what they could handle. They knew that attempting to fight against the Gorosei would be foolish and likely result in their own demise.
Judging from Saturn Saint's altered appearance and the drug he had just injected, it was clear he'd used some method to boost his strength.
Marco had entrusted them with the critical task of protecting Vegapunk. Even if they felt powerless, backing down now wasn't an option.
Jozu's gaze hardened. He squared his shoulders and said solemnly to Vegapunk, "Doctor, please rest assured. We'll do everything we can to keep you safe."
But Vegapunk's unease didn't fade. At that moment, Stussy spoke up in her characteristically gentle tone, "Doctor, if the situation truly becomes irreversible, then abandoning Egghead Island and ensuring everyone's safety might be the best course of action."
Her words sent ripples through Vegapunk's heart. He was deeply unwilling to leave Egghead, but when his life was on the line, all of that seemed trivial. As long as he survived, he could continue his research. There were still far too many mysteries in this world he wanted to unravel—he really didn't want to die.
Shaka interjected, "Perhaps we should deploy the Seraphim ahead of schedule. Consider it a live combat test."
Vegapunk immediately refuted him. "Absolutely not! The Seraphim are nowhere near ready for real combat. And using the Gorosei as their first opponents is far too reckless—they might just get dismantled!"
Shaka, however, remained perfectly calm. "If we don't activate the Seraphim, how else can we oppose the Gorosei? Their goal, after all, is to execute you."
Vegapunk hesitated again.
Stussy quickly followed up, "He's right, Doctor. Your safety is the top priority right now."
"Seraphim?" Jozu cut in, curiosity written all over his face. "What are those?"
Shaka patiently explained, "They're human weapons we developed based on the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Their strength far surpasses the Pacifista. They're the strongest humans born from combining Lunarian blood with Green Blood."
"In fact, their power already exceeds that of the original Seven Warlords of the Sea."
Jinbe couldn't help looking shocked. "You're saying the Seraphim were created based on the Seven Warlords of the Sea? Does that include me as well?"
Shaka gave a small nod. "Yes."
He continued, "Jinbe, after you became a Shichibukai, you underwent a Marine physical examination, didn't you?"
Jinbe's eyes widened as he nodded, a realization dawning on his face. "Don't tell me… back then…"
"That's right," Shaka confirmed. "It was then that we obtained the lineage factors of you Shichibukai. As for your Seraphim, we endowed him with the Green Blood ability of the 'Fish-Fish Fruit.'"
"Fish-Fish Fruit?" Jinbe frowned slightly, confused. "And what did you mean by 'Green Blood' just now?"
Shaka patiently explained, "That refers to artificial Devil Fruits. Aside from Logias, we're able to manufacture both Paramecia and Zoan types. However, artificial Devil Fruits come with a major drawback: they can't reach the Awakened state."
Jinbe and the others were shaken all over again. Ever since they'd set foot on Egghead, they knew Vegapunk was extraordinary as the world's greatest scientist—but they hadn't imagined he had gone as far as to create human weapons even stronger than the Pacifista: the Seraphim.
At that moment, Vegapunk seemed to finally snap back to reality. Wearing a grave expression, he said, "Alright, we'll talk about all that later! The most important thing right now is staying alive. Shaka, go activate the Seraphim. They may take heavy damage in the battle to come, but once everything is over, I promise I'll restore every last one of them to their original state."
"Yes, Stella." Receiving the order, Shaka turned at once and headed toward the Seraphim cultivation chamber.
Meanwhile, under the dome outside the lab, the other Gorosei, who had been urgently summoned, also showed surprise when they saw Saturn's current form.
Nusjuro couldn't help asking, "Saturn, you've already used the four soul divine blood?"
Saturn's eyes burned with fury as he glared in the direction Marco had disappeared beneath the dome. His pupils glowed a terrifying red as he said coldly, "It's all because of that little beast. You must not be careless. That kid's conqueror's haki has already stepped into the realm of a god—he's nothing like the usual insects."
His mind flashed back to when he'd first summoned them—only for Marco's overwhelming conqueror's haki to forcibly tear his summoning spell apart.
Hearing Saturn's words, everyone's gaze turned toward Marco. At that moment, Marco had already contacted Kaido and Big Mom through a transponder snail, speaking bluntly: "Kaido, Big Mom, hurry up and back us up! The Gorosei have arrived on Egghead Island!"
The Gorosei's faces immediately clouded over at hearing Marco call for reinforcements. They knew all too well that among the Big Mom Pirates was a user of the Mirror-Mirror Fruit, capable of spatial teleportation through mirrors, allowing them to rush to each other's aid at terrifying speed.
On the other end of the transponder snail, Kaido's wild, unrestrained laughter shook the air: "Worororo! The Gorosei actually showed up? Good! Me and Linlin will be there right away!"
Soon after, Big Mom's shrill voice came through the line: "Mama mama mama mama! The moment you first mentioned this to me, I started getting ready. Right now, Kaido and I are both in the Mirror World. Just wait, we'll be there immediately."
Every word of that conversation reached the Gorosei's ears, and their expressions darkened in unison.
Nusjuro lifted his sword and declared, "It seems this will be another epic battle!" A ruthless glint flashed in his eyes. "Since that's the case, why not take this opportunity to wipe out this swarm of insects once and for all?"
The other Gorosei nodded in agreement. Without hesitation, each of the four took out a vial of medicine and injected it into their arm or neck.
In an instant, thick veins bulged beneath their skin, their bodies flushed crimson, and the aura surrounding them exploded.
A violent wave of Haoshoku Haki erupted. Under the dome, every transponder snail was hit head‑on by that tyrannical pressure, their eyes rolling back as they fainted one after another. In the monitoring room, Vegapunk and his team watched the screens go dark one by one as the surveillance feeds were forcibly cut.
That rampant conqueror's haki was overwhelming, sweeping across all of Egghead Island. Outside the dome, among the Phoenix Pirates and Marines locked in battle, those with weaker wills also collapsed under the pressure.
"Hey, hey, hey—are you taking enhancement potions right from the start?" Marco's eyes widened as he sensed the sudden spike in the Gorosei's aura.
He could now clearly feel the terrifying force of their Haoshoku. This surging sea of conqueror's haki had probably already reached a legendary level.
At the same time, Marco activated his level scan:
