It was the last day of the month and everyone was anticipating the next House of Cards Game.
Jensen strolled casually through the crowded hallway. Jenna by his right, Andrea at his left, Missy behind him and Mike in front of them with Alya and Mary.
Some boys shot Jensen death glares. They really wanted to beat him up.
It would have been easy if Andrea and Mike weren't with him and if he wasn't so strong.
Mike used his hoodie to cover his face as some of the gazes fell on him.
"Why are they looking at us like that." He asked in a weak cowardly tone.
Michael Rosewood had had this cowardly aura since his early ages. He was always shy, refusing to socialize except when approached or with his siblings. He always kept to himself and hardly fought back when bullied.
But it was known that he had an inner demon— or so they called it. If needed, his entire composure and stance changes to something straight out of a movie.
"Stop whining big bro." Alya said punching him on the arm.
"Don't hit me." He said rubbing his arm.
"So much for number five." Mary said teasingly.
"I'm only number five because I've never fought Marcus or any upper numbers." Michael said.
"Yeah...but I'm pretty sure it be tough." She said linking her arm in his.
Michael smiled wryly at her cute action, but it faded as quickly as fire placed in water.
He looked up and saw Debbie, Dorothy and Danielle in front of them with Kobi, Marcus and Ben behind them respectively.
"What do you want?" Mary and Jenna asked the girls at the same time as they made their way in front of their group to face the girls.
"Mary, let's not forget that you're head ref for the SPADE KINGDOM." Dorothy said.
"I remember clearly, but it doesn't mean I won't interfere in any bullshit that goes on during this fucked up game." Mary spat back.
"We didn't come to cause problem with the referees." Ben said coyly glancing at Mary and Andrea. "We just came for the Jack."
"Yeah. We don't know if he'll be Jack again so we want to enjoy one last beating." Kobi said.
"Oi, lobster boy, dog mouth and monkey face, can you like get the fuck out of our way." Jensen said with a straight face.
Missy struggled to hold in her laughter, and unlucky for her, the boys caught sight.
Ben pushed his way through the two groups like an angry bull. "Why you li–."
As he was about to grabbed her, Jensen slapped his hand away.
"Nice one Shadow." Jensen said still looking at Ben in the eyes. "Now stay back."
Ben tried to grab her again and Jensen slapped his hand and pushed him back.
"You asshole!" Ben yelled at the top of his lungs as her grabbed Jensen's shirt.
Jensen calmly placed his hand on his wrist and began to squeeze it. Ben in return tightened his grip and pulled him closer.
Then out of the blue, Andrea's hand was on Ben's chest and Michael's hand on his shoulder.
Ben looked at the deadly-calm glaze in Andrea's gaze and the oddly vacant, nonchalant looking in Michael's eyes.
Jensen's look wasn't far from the others.
Ben diverted his attention to Andrea as Kobi came and took Jensen's attention and Marcus spinning Michael round to face him.
The six boys looked at each other with serious looks.
"Umm, I'm sorry, but I need to pass to see the VP." A boy said from behind Missy.
"Shut the fuck up!" Min-jun said.
"Shut the fuck up!" The other boys sat at the same time with out breaking a glance.
The tension hung seriously in the air. Enough to make it hard for others to breathe.
"Jen!" Mizuki yelled seeing the change in Kobi's stance.
"Mike!" Mary yelled seeing Marcus's raised fist.
Andrea didn't need anyone to alert him. He always anticipated anyone's attack during a fight. Ben wasn't different.
Jensen moved his head back in time for Kobi to miss the kick. He caught Kobi's leg and they looked back at each other with a knowing smile.
Michael had also just caught Marcus' punch. They both looked at each other with calm looks.
Andrea had diverted Ben's punch and threw a slow simple jab. Ben caught it and the looked at each other with anger in their eyes.
Kobi jumped off his standing foot ready to kick Jensen.
Jensen anticipated it just in time and blocked the attack with his arm letting go of Kobi's leg.
Michael threw a left hook at Marcus and he used his hand to block it.
The two pushed each other back and stood there.
Andrea pushed Ben back with the same look as before.
"Hey boys let's not do this here, please." A male voice rang out from behind them.
A boy with messy blonde hair walked passed Missy and Alya who were behind the older girls.
"Sorry girls." He said.
As he got to the center he looked at all the boys in the eye.
"Andrea x Ben, Kobi x Jensen, Michael x Marcus." The boy said. "Very interesting battle but sadly it's school period."
"What is it Zach?" Ben and Andrea asked calmly at once.
"Nothing much. Just don't want any casualties." Zach said simply. "I don't mean you guys. I mean the girls and everyone else."
Just then the school bell rang out.
"That's your cue to wrap it up." He replied.
He turned to look at the Diva 3. He took a respectful bow and did the same for Mary's group.
"Thank you." Mary and Jenna whispered.
"That's a wrap everyone. Back to class." Zach said clapping his hands drawing everyone's attention.
The crowd began to disperse.
"Damn. I really wanted to see that fight."
"You read my mind bro."
"Is it me or was the Heart Alliance looking sexy."
"Heart Alliance?"
"Yeah. All those guys with Andrea."
"Forget that. Andrea pulled back on his punches. And Michael too."
"Yeah. But Kobi didn't seem to hold back for Jensen."
"I hope the year will be legit before they graduate."
"I really hope that Jen gets a high rank during this game."
"Why's that?"
"Because I'll vote for him. Di you see the way he protected that girl? And she isn't even his sister or girlfriend."
"You're right. I really want to be on good terms with him."
"Yeah. He isn't even bad like the rumors are."
Comments flew around as they all began to leave.
"Who's Zach?" Jensen asked.
"SCP, and class three representative." Andrea said.
"Students' Council President." Jenna elaborated.
"I could piece that together." Jensen said.
"Rumors has it that he's as strong or maybe stronger than Andrea." Alya said.
"You really are conversant with the rumors." Missy said.
"Why not? I'm like our groups informant and spy." She said.
"But the truth is that he has never fought anyone and vice versa." Mary said.
"Come on. Let's get to class." Michael said taking the lead.
Mary walked up to him and held his hand.
"You think she likes him?" Jenna asked Andrea.
" 'Think' is understatement." Andrea said.
"Alright girls. Class." Jensen said to Alya and Missy.
The two waved the other group bye before walking off.
Once they were gone, Jenna, Andrea and Jensen went to catch up with Michael and Mary.
