Chapter 5 - Unnamed

From his understanding of Zhunti Daoist and Receiving Daoist, they would definitely stifle the emergence of Mahayana Buddhism.

If they were to act, it would undoubtedly be a thunderous strike.

The powerhouses dispatched at that time would at least be at the level of a Sage's Three Corpses. The Three Corpses are already the strongest figures below a Sage.

Could such powerhouses and Western Religion, along with the Golden Immortal Realm Confucius, be resisted?

"Sir, do not worry. I am not weak and easily bullied. When soldiers come, we will block them; when water comes, we will cover it with earth. I have my own solution," King Zhou said.

He naturally knew the importance of converting barbarians to Buddhism and hoped that this matter would succeed.

Originally, when he made Kong Xuan the leader of Mahayana Buddhism, he was still a little worried, as Kong Xuan's strength was still somewhat lacking compared to a Sage's Three Corpses.

Now, with Old Man Laozi accompanying him, Kong Xuan's safety could also be guaranteed.

In addition, he first stated the concept of Mahayana Buddhism to attract all of Western Religion's attention to himself.

Under these circumstances, Old Man Laozi and Kong Xuan's journey west out of HanGu Pass and the matter of converting barbarians to Buddhism would presumably save a lot of trouble.

As long as he could delay for enough time, Kong Xuan and Old Man Laozi would be able to successfully establish Mahayana Buddhism, and by then, the overall situation would be set.

Once Mahayana Buddhism appears, its subsequent impact on Western Religion will surely be unimaginable.

Even if Zhunti Daoist and Receiving Daoist, who have returned to the Western Land, react, it will be in vain.

He had actually anticipated Western Religion's counterattack, but he was not worried about this situation.

This is the Human Clan, not a place where Western Religion can act recklessly; this was already determined during the Investiture of the Gods.

"Although that is true, Confucius, do not underestimate the enemy. You must be careful and on guard," Old Man Laozi reminded him.

He was still very worried about Western Religion's counterattack.

In his opinion, although Confucius has the appearance of a Literary Dao Saint, if a Sage's Three Corpses were to come, how would Confucius respond?

However, in his opinion, even if Western Religion were to act, their speed would probably not be too fast.

As long as he and Kong Xuan are fast and establish Mahayana Buddhism as soon as possible, they can catch Western Religion off guard.

Then Zhunti Daoist and Receiving Daoist of Western Religion will not have the mind to pay attention to Confucius.

Instead, they will first seek out the two of them, who are shaking the Foundation of their Western Religion in the Western Regions.

Under these circumstances, Confucius's original crisis would be resolved.

"Both of you can rest assured and convert barbarians to Buddhism. I wish you both immediate success!" King Zhou said.

With Kong Xuan and Old Man Laozi accompanying each other, he could already imagine the scene of Western Religion splitting.

He wondered what Zhunti Daoist and Receiving Daoist would feel at that time.

"I'll take your auspicious words!" Old Man Laozi said gratefully.

As he spoke, he and Kong Xuan had already begun to bid farewell to Confucius.

Immediately after, their figures disappeared from Confucius's sight.

...

Within Western Religion's Lingshan Holy Land, Zhunti Daoist and Receiving Daoist had made all preparations.

In front of them, more than ten Western Religion Disciples were arrayed, including Maitreya, one of their most outstanding Disciples.

These Western Religion Disciples were all carefully selected by the two of them, having a sufficiently high recognition of Western Religion's doctrines.

In addition, these more than ten Disciples were all personally taught by them, and each of them was at least at the Golden Immortal Realm.

They had already gained some understanding of Confucius's information during this past week.

The unifier of Human Clan thought, having the appearance of a Literary Dao Saint, capable of mobilizing a portion of Human Clan Luck, and cultivating to the Golden Immortal Realm.

"With two Sages holding the line, we are bound to win!

In my opinion, there's no need for a Sage to act; it's enough to kill Confucius!" one of the Disciples said.

In his opinion, the personnel they had for this trip were already enough to kill Confucius four times over.

Although Confucius could mobilize Human Clan Luck, he could at most raise his strength to the Grand Golden Immortal Realm.

However, among the more than ten Disciples accompanying Zhunti Daoist and Receiving Daoist Evil Corpse, half were at the Grand Golden Immortal Realm, and Maitreya was even at the Peak of the Grand Golden Immortal Realm.

He believed that there was no need for the two Three Corpses to act; just these more than ten Disciples would be enough to deal with Confucius.

"Set off immediately to conquer the Buddhist Demon Confucius!" Zhunti Daoist's evil corpse said, his voice filled with anger.

After discussing with Receiving Daoist, they had already defined Confucius, who wanted to shake the Foundation of Western Religion, as a Buddhist Demon.

This trip to the Human Clan was destined to kill Confucius, otherwise, their Western Religion would likely face a huge crisis.

He did not think like his Disciple; he believed that Confucius's strength was definitely not bad, but it was merely not bad.

As one of a Sage's Three Corpses, he possessed the strongest strength below a Sage.

Moreover, among the companions on this trip, he was not the only one; Receiving Daoist's evil corpse was also going along.

Two Sage's Three Corpses, plus a group of Disciples at or above the Golden Immortal Realm.

Unless this Confucius was the Three Corpses of another Sage, how could he survive?

Chapter 305: Old Man Laozi Travels West Out of HanGu Pass!

In the Kong Residence courtyard, Confucius was seated at the head, with seventy-two Disciples below him, their expressions excited.

The Disciples were excited because a major event was to take place today.

Confucius had summoned his Disciples to summarize their travels through the various states.

During this period, Confucius had spoken many profound theories, which his Disciples had individually recorded.

What they were to do today was to compile and integrate these theories, ultimately arranging them into a book.

The records were mostly in the form of debates, and Confucius personally decided that this book would be named "the analects of confucius."

Zhonggong, Zengzi, and Zisi, three Disciples, recorded, while the other Disciples continuously repeated the words they recorded.

Confucius looked at this scene of his Disciples with a calm expression.

His travels through the various states had ended, and the Human Clan's thoughts had been unified through his efforts.

He had summoned his Disciples today to perfect "the analects of confucius" and to gain enlightenment through this opportunity.

As time passed, the Disciples finished repeating, and Zhonggong, Zengzi, and Zisi, through recording and compiling, had already gathered all the theories into a volume.

A blank-titled book was now placed on Confucius's desk.

Everyone looked at Confucius with anticipation, expecting him to name this epic masterpiece.

However, just as King Zhou was about to name the book, his gaze fixed on the blank area in the center of the courtyard.

The other Disciples followed Confucius's gaze, also looking curiously at the center of the courtyard.

At this moment, a group of figures suddenly appeared in everyone's vision.

This group consisted of nearly twenty people, most of whom were dressed in monastic robes with ring scars on their heads.

The two leading figures were both benevolent-looking; one had ears that hung down to his shoulders and a Buddha's coiled hair on his head, appearing like a Buddha.

The other had the appearance of a Daoist, with a full head of white hair, a white beard, and holding a whisk.

Their distinctive appearances confirmed that this group consisted of people from Western Religion.

Although the seventy-two Disciples did not show panic, they felt a faint sense of worry in their hearts.

The manner of Western Religion's appearance clearly indicated that they were all great Divine Ability users.

The sudden appearance of the group clearly meant that they were targeting their teacher, Confucius.

Moreover, some of them had already recognized the former Ksitigarbha, knowing that this group of people were all Western Religion Disciples.

What did it mean for Western Religion Disciples to come out in full force and appear before them?

"As expected, they've come, a little later than I imagined!" King Zhou said.

His expression was normal, without the slightest change, as Western Religion's appearance at this time was already within his expectations.

After conversing with Old Man Laozi, he already knew that Western Religion would come knocking, and their speed would be very fast.

Moreover, Western Religion's visit this time would undoubtedly be with a determined attitude.

Without surprise, in addition to the Western Religion Disciples, a Sage's Three Corpses would also personally come.

The situation was indeed as he had predicted: the two leading figures among these twenty-plus people were precisely the Three Corpses of Zhunti Daoist and Receiving Daoist.

Amitabha, with his Buddha's coiled hair, and Bodhi Founder, holding a whisk, both were among the Three Corpses of Western Religion.

Their appearance, accompanying a group of Western Religion Disciples, was enough to show Western Religion's Pay attention to of him.

"All Disciples, today, follow me to kill the Buddhist Demon and save the Foundation of Western Religion!" Amitabha said first.

The Western Religion Disciples he led today were not just the more than ten he had summoned.

In addition to Maitreya and the other direct Disciples, Ksitigarbha, who had debated with Confucius last time, and the Disciples whose inner demons had been removed, also came along.

With the strength of the two of them, there was naturally no need to bring so many Western Religion Disciples to kill a mere Confucius.

It was all because of Confucius's Mahayana Buddhism theory, which was a boundless disaster and a great threat to their Western Religion

As long as those few of them attacked together, Confucius, with his Peak Golden Immortal strength, would surely be slain by them.

After witnessing Confucius's death, the inner demons of Ksitigarbha and others would also disappear.

As long as Confucius was killed, what use were his past words?

At this moment, his gaze towards Confucius was like looking at a dead man.

In his opinion, with two Sage's Three Corpses personally present, and Maitreya, a Peak Grand Unity Golden Immortal, how could Confucius not die?

"The title of 'Buddha-demon' is truly laughable. What's wrong with everyone becoming a Buddha?

My guess was indeed correct; the Western Religion is truly petty, wanting to bully the weak and gang up on others just for a few words!" King Zhou mocked.

As he spoke, he didn't forget to bring up the Mahayana Buddhism doctrine of 'everyone becoming a Buddha' again.

He had already seen the appearance of Ksitigarbha and the others, although their inner demons had been removed.

But he felt that these words would inevitably influence these Disciples again.

Upon hearing Confucius's words, the Western Religion Disciples, led by Maitreya, were slightly stunned, but only slightly.

They were only interested in the idea of 'everyone becoming a Buddha'; besides that, there was nothing else.

They were all Personal Disciples brought by Amitabha and Bodhi Ancestor after careful selection.

They had firm faith in the Western Religion's doctrines and unconditional trust in the two Sages, Daoist Zhunti and Daoist Jieyin.

However, Amitabha and Bodhi Ancestor did not only bring them as Disciples.

The expressions of the other Disciples, led by Ksitigarbha, changed again after hearing these words.

Apart from Ksitigarbha, the other Disciples who had previously experienced inner demons once again fell into confusion, and then black qi, representing inner demons, reappeared around their bodies.

"Buddha-demon, you truly have guts, uttering such confusing words in our presence and disturbing the minds of my Western Religion Disciples.

Today, you shall not be spared; quickly surrender your life!" Bodhi Ancestor said angrily.

He hadn't expected Confucius's words to directly cause the Disciples to experience inner demons again.

Originally, they had intended to slay Confucius to completely eliminate the inner demons of Ksitigarbha and the other Disciples.

But now, before they even started, the Disciples were affected by inner demons again.

The reason this situation occurred was that when they initially resolved the Disciples' inner demons, they used Sage to directly remove the memories of Confucius's words about Mahayana Buddhism.

This approach was merely a temporary solution, not addressing the inner demons from their root.

For example, now, when the Disciples heard these words again, inner demons reappeared once more.

This situation was enough to show the terrifying nature of the Mahayana Buddhism spoken by Confucius; this was not only related to the Foundation of the Western Religion.

It also concerned the stability of the Western Religion; once Mahayana Buddhism's theories entered the Western Religion, the Western Religion could very likely split apart!

This was a situation he absolutely would not allow to happen!

The more this situation occurred, the more he wanted to slay Confucius.

At this moment, he could no longer resist the urge to act; as his horsetail whisk swung, his figure moved towards Confucius.

He wanted to make this ignorant Golden Immortal disappear from this world.

Following Bodhi Ancestor's action, Amitabha, who had been observing in silence, also chose to attack together.

Both of them were Sage's Three Corpses, the strongest combatants below a Sage.

Maitreya, Ksitigarbha, and the Western Religion Disciples who had not fallen into inner demons, all mourned for Confucius in their hearts upon seeing this scene.

With the two of them attacking, Confucius's death was a foregone conclusion.

Even an ordinary Quasi-Sage would not be a match for their combined strength.

Let alone Confucius, who was only at the Peak of the Golden Immortal Realm.

As for the seventy-two Disciples watching, they were also sweating for Confucius, who was on the main seat.

Even if they attacked, it would only add to Confucius's burden, so they chose not to act, only watching helplessly.

Amitabha and Bodhi Founder's strength was extraordinary; could Confucius truly resist?

"Do you really think I'm doomed? Today, I'll make you Western Religion completely give up!" King Zhou said with a smile.

Watching the combined attack of Amitabha and Bodhi Founder, he showed no panic, full of confidence.

Today's events, while seemingly a sudden appearance of the Western Religion to slay him,

It was more like he had long anticipated it and had already set up his stance, waiting for the Western Religion's arrival.

As he pondered, he already had his next move.

He saw the tip of his pen move, and the words "the analects of confucius" appeared in the blank book.

the analects of confucius completed!

...

Outside HanGu Pass, County Magistrate Yin Xi learned that Laozi had arrived. Knowing that Laozi was a Literary Dao Saint whom even Confucius had sought guidance from, he understood that Laozi was also a great scholar.

After meeting, he earnestly requested Laozi to write a book for posterity.

Under his plea, Laozi finally left over five thousand words, which Yin Xi recorded in a book.

"Thank you, venerable sir, for your words. I will compile and spread them for you. May I ask for a title for the book!" Yin Xi asked.

These mere five thousand-plus words had deeply touched him; he knew what it would mean for the Human Clan once these words spread among them.

The theories within touched upon the doctrines and tenets of Taoism, such as 'supreme good is like water,' 'revering the Dao and valuing virtue,' 'natural non-action,' and other core concepts.

There were also many principles about how to conduct oneself, all requiring diligent study.

"No need to see me off further, just call it the "Tao Te Ching"!" Laozi said.

He spoke calmly from the back of the green ox, his eyes already looking beyond HanGu Pass.

Originally, he had not intended to appear here, wanting to directly pass HanGu Pass with Kong Xuan and spread the doctrines of Mahayana Buddhism.

However, after calculations, he discovered that he had some affinity with Yin Xi, which was why he left these five thousand words.

Kong Xuan, as the guardian deity of Human Clan Luck, was not suitable to be revealed to the Human Clan and had already gone into seclusion.

"Sir, your words speak of Dao in the beginning and Virtue in the end, so calling it the "Tao Te Ching" is truly wonderful!

Thank you for your words today, sir. I shall now go and compile the "Tao Te Ching" for you. Please excuse me for not seeing you off!" Yin Xi said with joyful surprise.

Upon hearing Laozi's words, he did not linger further.

Now, his heart was filled with the "Tao Te Ching", wanting to quickly organize and arrange it to reveal this magnificent work to the world.

As he spoke, he already held the recorded manuscript and left directly.

"Depart!" Laozi said.

After watching Yin Xi leave, he spoke to the seemingly empty surroundings.

Immediately after, the green ox carried him towards the outside of HanGu Pass. If one looked closely, they could still see Five-Colored Divine Light appearing around him.

The next moment, the green ox had already entered the Western Land where the Western Religion was located.

Chapter 306: Literary Dao Great Accomplishment, Sage's Aura!

As the words "the analects of confucius" fell, the seemingly ordinary book suddenly radiated a brilliant light.

Before Confucius, the book actually lifted itself from the table, floating in mid-air.

The Western Religion, who had originally prepared to attack Confucius, suddenly felt an immense threat. At this moment, they all stopped in their tracks, not daring to advance another step.

Even Amitabha and Bodhi Ancestor, two of the Sage's Three Corpses, now looked puzzled, their expressions gradually becoming unusually solemn.

As Sage's Three Corpses, how could they not sense the abnormality? The book floating in mid-air was rapidly condensing Human Clan Luck.

In just a moment, the Human Clan Luck condensed on that book was already not to be underestimated, enough for the two of them to take it seriously.

Confucius's expression was calm, showing no surprise at this; or rather, all of this was originally part of his plan.

With the completion of the analects of confucius, his Dao was also completed; this was a supreme feat of unifying human thought.

The mere appearance of an anomaly was actually quite normal, and all of this was only the beginning.

Indeed, in the very next moment, new changes occurred!

The sky suddenly darkened, and light formed the shape of a book in the air. A large hand emitting starlight was slowly turning the pages of the book.

It was clearly an anomaly of a celestial being turning a book.

This was not the end; the next moment, the pages scattered, transforming into dense starlight, and the sky returned to clarity.

Immediately after, the sky showed a turbulent surge, like an ocean.

Golden light dyed the ocean gold, divine light shone for ten thousand miles, golden waves surged, accompanied by bursts of thunder and lightning, and then the waves became calm.

One green lotus after another rose in the golden ocean, with golden dew rolling on their leaves, full of vitality and dazzling.

This anomaly was precisely 'Golden Sea Giving Birth to Green Lotuses'!

The appearance of these two anomalies indicated only one thing: the Literary Dao he had always pursued had finally been accomplished.

More precisely, after the analects of confucius was officially completed, he had completely mastered the Human Clan's Literary Dao

Although mastering the Literary Dao made him happy, he was more concerned about another point: the Human Clan Luck gathered on the analects of confucius.

According to historical records, as a Confucian text, he believed that the analects of confucius would not produce anomalies or gather Human Clan Luck.

However, the current Analects of Confucius was different; its appearance indicated that his scholarship had reached great accomplishment and was no longer limited to the single school of Confucianism.

This situation arose because, during his travels among the various states, he had consistently promoted his unified Hundred Schools of Thought, earning the trust of people in other states.

What was recorded in the analects of confucius was basically what he said during his debates, more like a testament to his journey.

At the same time, it also signified that his scholarship had reached great accomplishment.

The dense Human Clan Luck on the analects of confucius was now in no way inferior to the Human Clan Luck condensed on Kong Xuan's body.

Moreover, at this moment, the analects of confucius's absorption of Human Clan Luck showed no signs of weakening; it continued to absorb.

Amitabha and Bodhi Founder could only watch helplessly. They were quite wary of the dense Human Clan Luck mobilized on the book and dared not act rashly.

Meanwhile, within the Qin State.

Yang Jian, who had just arrived at the Capital of Qin and was still inquiring about news, appeared on the deserted Debate Plaza.

After sensing the tremor of the Hall of Sages several years ago, he had been traveling among mortals, seeking the cause that could affect the Hall of Sages' tremor.

However, after such a long time, he still had not discovered the reason.

Nevertheless, Confucius, who appeared among the Human Clan, had already caught his attention.

The fact that Confucius possessed the appearance of a Literary Dao Saint had spread throughout the Nine Provinces, and he was also integrating the ideas of the Hundred Schools of Thought.

As the Holy Court's main god responsible for guarding the Hall of Sages, he was one of the few who knew the origin of the Hundred Schools of Thought.

He understood that the doctrines and ideas of the Hundred Schools of Thought all originated from the Hall of Sages, so the reason for the Hall of Sages' anomaly was, in all likelihood, related to the Hundred Schools of Thought.

And Confucius and these various triggers that caused the Hall of Sages' anomaly were all highly compatible.

Therefore, he highly suspected whether Confucius was the one who caused the Hall of Sages' anomaly back then, which was also why he had been following Confucius to this secluded debate platform to observe.

As he pondered, he suddenly felt a distinct anomaly.

Looking closely, the Hall of Sages in his hand suddenly reacted after several years.

The Hall of Sages began to vibrate continuously, and the amplitude of the vibration was several times greater than what he had seen before.

He tried hard to control it but found that the Hall of Sages was no longer under his control.

Yang Jian looked at the Hall of Sages in surprise, completely unable to understand the reason for this situation.

However, he knew that the Hall of Sages' two anomalies in such a short period definitely indicated that something big was happening.

While he was pondering, the Hall of Sages, now uncontrollable, detached from his hand and sped off in one direction.

The Hall of Sages' speed was incredibly fast; even Yang Jian could only follow its direction and was completely unable to catch up.

At this moment, the Human Clan Luck gathered on the analects of confucius had reached its limit; the Human Clan Luck still wanted to gather but seemed to encounter some obstruction, making it impossible to condense.

The dense Human Clan Luck swirled around the analects of confucius, having already materialized.

Even so, Amitabha and Bodhi Founder dared not overstep their bounds, cautiously observing from their positions.

The Human Clan Luck currently gathered had surpassed that of any Human Clan they had ever seen, except for the former King Zhou.

They had never seen any magical artifact or person who could gather so much Human Clan Luck.

As they pondered, they felt something and looked towards the sky.

The Hall of Sages, like a meteor, trailed a tail across the sky, heading straight for the analects of confucius.

Vaguely, one could feel that a resonance had actually formed between the Hall of Sages and Confucius.

Just as they were about to intervene, they noticed the massive Human Clan Luck also coiling around the Hall of Sages, a scale of Human Clan Luck that forced them to give up.

Even the Sage's Three Corpses could only watch helplessly as the Hall of Sages appeared above the analects of confucius.

They only felt that the Hall of Sages artifact was very familiar; after careful thought, they realized that the Hall of Sages artifact seemed to share the same origin as King Zhou's former artifacts, the three sovereigns mirror and the Five Emperors Pagoda.

These artifacts all had the same source of aura, and they speculated that the Hall of Sages was also one of King Zhou's artifacts.

Could it be that today's events were also King Zhou's arrangement?

The floating Analects of Confucius had stopped condensing Human Clan Luck, but after the arrival of the Hall of Sages, other changes occurred.

On the Hall of Sages, one could vaguely see over a hundred golden figures appearing.

These figures were unfamiliar to others, but Confucius was exceptionally familiar with them.

When he first sought to integrate Human Clan thought, these hundred-plus figures had appeared around him; they were precisely the Hundred Schools of Thought.

At this very moment, these appearing figures all faced Confucius, then bowed again to Confucius.

It seemed to be their gratitude to him, or perhaps their recognition of the integration of the Hundred Schools of Thought, or perhaps congratulations on the completion of the analects of confucius.

The next moment, the golden figures began to dissipate, transforming into golden light and pouring into the analects of confucius.

Originally, the analects of confucius's Human Clan Luck condensation had stopped, but now the Human Clan Luck swirling around it was absorbed again.

In an instant, the analects of confucius gathered all the surrounding Human Clan Luck.

Changes reappeared in the sky; a luminous book, just like before, appeared, and a large hand emitting starlight.

However, the difference was that this time, the large hand did not disappear after flipping through the book.

As the book was flipped, golden characters actually materialized on its pages, and those golden characters shone brightly, word by word.

Immediately after, voices began to echo in everyone's ears.

"The Master said: 'Is it not pleasant to learn and to review constantly what one has learned? Is it not delightful to have friends coming from distant quarters? Is it not a man of complete virtue who feels no discomposure though men may take no note of him?'"

"The Master said: 'To rule a state of a thousand chariots, there must be reverent attention to business, and sincerity; economy in expenditure, and love for men; and the employment of the people at the proper seasons.'"

"The Master said: 'A youth, when at home, should be filial, and, abroad, respectful to his elders. He should be earnest and truthful. He should overflow in love to all, and cultivate the friendship of the good. When he has time and opportunity, after the performance of these things, he should employ them in the study of polite learning.'"

...

Voices continuously emerged. This anomaly and sound were not only visible and audible to the people in the Kong Residence.

Throughout the Nine Provinces, all members of the Human Clan looked up at the sky; they were all attracted by the anomaly and the sound.

Those who had achieved great scholarship and civil officials among the Human Clan were even more agitated at this moment; they understood what this situation meant.

"These are Saintly Words! Saintly Words!" some accomplished scholars cheered.

Even more so, many people began to record the words they heard and saw in the sky.

Within the Marquiss, Great Scholar Cui and many other registered Disciples who had traveled with Confucius were even more excited.

The emergence of Saintly Words and the completion of the analects of confucius were announcing one thing!

"Congratulations, Master Kong, on achieving the Literary Dao Saint!" the registered Disciples cheered.

In the Qin State, Yang Jian, who was originally still chasing the Hall of Sages, also stopped after seeing the anomaly.

He clearly understood that this scene was definitely related to the Hall of Sages that had just disappeared.

It could cause the Hall of Sages to stir, manifest heavenly anomalies, and have Saintly Words enter one's ears.

He couldn't help but accelerate his magical power and sped towards the direction where the Hall of Sages had disappeared; he wanted to see with his own eyes who had accomplished all of this.

Within the Qin Residence, the people of the Western Religion also saw clearly.

The Disciples of the Western Religion were now completely awestruck by this anomaly and the Saintly Words; they had never seen such a scene.

They had even personally witnessed Maitreya and Ksitigarbha ascending to the Great Golden Immortal Realm.

But the anomalies of Maitreya and Ksitigarbha's Ascension were far less grand than the current one.

Such an anomaly affecting heaven and earth was like achieving the Dao, like proving the Dao and becoming a Saint.

Why would Confucius, whose cultivation was still at the Peak of the Golden Immortal Realm, cause such a commotion!

As for Amitabha and Bodhi Ancestor, they also stood frozen in place; they understood that the commotion Confucius was causing now was no different from proving the Dao and becoming a Saint.

They had never imagined that after King Zhou, someone else could achieve this, gathering so much Human Clan Luck.

This situation was similar to the former Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors achieving perfect merit and ascending to the Fire Cloud Cave.

What had Confucius done during the three years they had traveled among the Human Clan?

Chapter 307: All Saints Stunned, Another King Zhou?

"Master, what exactly is going on?" Maitreya was the first to ask.

Although he was a Saint's Disciple, he was also shocked by the anomaly between heaven and earth at this moment.

The anomaly of the analects of confucius's completion had surpassed the anomaly generated when Zhao Gongming proved the Quasi-Saint Dao.

Moreover, he had personally witnessed the Sage Zhunti and the Sage Jieyin becoming Saints, and now the anomaly in heaven and earth could already rival the time when the Sage Jieyin and the Sage Zhunti became Saints.

What exactly had Confucius done to cause such a reaction from heaven and earth?

Could it be that Confucius had found a new path and proved the Dao to become a Saint?

However, through observation, he found that Confucius's cultivation still remained at the Peak of the Golden Immortal Realm.

This situation made him even more confused about the situation.

"I also didn't expect that unifying Human Clan thought would cause Human Clan Luck to condense. Confucius's current state can already be called a Literary Dao Saint!" Amitabha explained

Now, he already understood the reason for all of this.

Strictly speaking, Confucius's current situation was very similar to someone from the past: King Zhou.

King Zhou had once completely unified the Human Clan, and the ultimate result was a heavenly phenomenon where Human Clan Luck spread throughout the Nine Provinces.

And now, Confucius had achieved the unification of Human Clan thought, so it was completely understandable for such a phenomenon to occur.

The Human Clan Luck condensed on the analects of confucius was already close to rivaling what he had seen from King Zhou.

He only felt that what he originally thought would be an unhindered killing of Confucius had now become troublesome.

"Confucius's writing has condensed Human Clan Luck, which for the Human Clan is already a complete success. He is now equivalent to the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors among the Human Clan.

Originally, I thought the emergence of King Zhou was the most outstanding figure in the Human Clan.

I never expected that today, another person comparable to King Zhou would appear!" Bodhi Ancestor added.

He had originally believed that with Confucius's impending death, the ideals of Mahayana Buddhism would also disappear.

But now, it seemed that Confucius would not be easy to deal with.

The Human Clan Luck that had condensed could already elevate Confucius's strength to a Realm above that of a Quasi-Saint.

Even if it was just the two of them, without using special means, they might not be Confucius's match.

The Human Clan Luck had been continuous for the past few centuries, not only not weakening but showing signs of growth.

And today, after the unification of Human Clan thought, he could feel the Human Clan Luck surging again.

Confucius now commanded their full attention.

"Confucius has already become a Literary Dao Saint, so will we still be his opponents?" Jizo asked at this moment.

He hadn't expected Confucius to become a Literary Dao Saint, with his scholarship recognized by Heaven and Earth.

Under such circumstances, the inner demon he had suppressed began to show signs of resurgence.

Confucius's words had already been recognized by this Heaven and Earth, so would the ideals of Mahayana Buddhism also be recognized by this Heaven and Earth?

He struggled to control his thoughts, finally managing to suppress the inner demon again.

"We still have some methods. As long as we choose to act, even if Confucius proves to be a Quasi-Saint, he will perish here!" Amitabha said.

Because of the condensed Human Clan Luck, if they didn't use their trump cards, they might not be Confucius's match.

However, if Confucius lived, it would not be good news for Western Religion at all.

Firstly, Confucius's survival meant the unification of Human Clan thought, representing that Human Clan thought had become a solid block, making the difficulty of Western Religion spreading its doctrines imaginable.

Secondly, Confucius was the first to propose the doctrines of Mahayana Buddhism, and his words had gained the recognition of Heaven and Earth.

If he were still alive, Mahayana Buddhism would always have the possibility of emerging.

The Western Religion in the Western Regions was his fundamental base, and he would never allow anyone else to meddle with it.

Dealing with Confucius, who had condensed Human Clan Luck, would come at a heavy cost.

Even if he had to pay a heavy price, he had no choice but to do so, as Confucius's existence was a huge hidden danger for their Western Religion.

"Indeed, even if Human Clan Luck is condensed, the Buddha-demon must be slain!" Bodhi Founder said.

He was very cautious about the power Confucius could currently unleash.

If the two of them forcefully attacked, bearing the backlash of Human Clan Luck and managing to slay Confucius would already be the best outcome.

However, in his opinion, even if both of them attacked together and suffered the backlash of Human Clan Luck, they might not be able to kill Confucius.

But as long as they could kill Confucius, they would even self-detonate their Three Corpses to ensure Confucius was buried here!

While pondering, his gaze met Amitabha's, and both had resolved to kill Confucius at all costs.

The next moment, their figures moved, rushing towards Confucius's location!

...

Outside the Thirty-Third Heaven, inside Yu Xu Palace, Celestial Worthy of the Primordial Beginning was punished by Dao Ancestor Hongjun and ordered to reflect behind closed doors.

Before Celestial Worthy of the Primordial Beginning's eyes, the scene inside the Kong Residence appeared.

As a Saint, he was also aware of the Western Religion's rise.

After all, they were former allies and shared a common enemy in King Zhou, so he was very supportive of Daolord Zhunti and Daolord Jieyin.

Therefore, he also paid attention to the Western Religion's arrangements.

After understanding Confucius's situation, his initial thought was that Confucius was the Three Corpses of another Saint.

But after his calculations, he finally confirmed that Confucius was merely the Son of Luck of this Heaven and Earth during this period, and had no relation to other Saints.

However, after confirming that the Three Corpses of the two Saints of Western Religion had moved out and intended to directly kill Confucius, he no longer had high hopes for Confucius's outcome.

But what he hadn't expected was that the current Confucius had achieved such an exaggerated feat.

"Another annoying Human Clan member!" Celestial Worthy of the Primordial Beginning said.

The condensation of Human Clan Luck and the unification of Human Clan thought immediately reminded him of King Zhou, and he instinctively felt aversion.

The reason he was reflecting behind closed doors was because of King Zhou, and he disliked Confucius just as much.

However, he also had to admit that Confucius was truly remarkable. The phenomenon of a Literary Dao Saint proving his Dao and the recitation of Saintly words all proved Confucius's extraordinary nature.

From the current situation, the outcome of this confrontation between Western Religion and Confucius was truly uncertain.

In Nuwa Palace, as the Saint who created the Human Clan, she also paid attention to this major event.

"This Human Clan is truly blessed with flourishing Luck. I never expected such a figure to appear after King Zhou," Nuwa praised from the bottom of her heart.

The appearance of three heavenly phenomena and the Saintly words filling the Honghuang Heaven and Earth all proved Confucius's excellence.

Originally, after King Zhou entered Fire Cloud Cave, she still had concerns, fearing problems for the Human Clan in the future.

For this, she and the other two Saints personally visited King Zhou and obtained his promise.

But now it seemed that even without King Zhou, the Human Clan would not weaken in the slightest. With the continuous emergence of such excellent Human Clan members, the future of the Human Clan was immeasurably vast.

She had no good feelings for Western Religion, especially since Daolord Zhunti had once schemed against her.

However, the great rise of Western Religion was an unchangeable trend of Heaven and Earth, but Confucius's appearance made her feel that there might be a turning point in the matter of Western Religion's great rise.

Thinking of this, her gaze once again focused on the Kong Residence, anticipating the upcoming outcome.

In Eight Scenery Palace, the Grand Pure Saint was also observing.

He had originally believed that the Western Religion's move would take some time, waiting until his Three Corpses, Laozi, spread the Mahayana Buddhism doctrines and established Mahayana Buddhism, before Western Religion would act.

He naturally didn't want to watch such a remarkable figure as Confucius be killed by Western Religion.

Moreover, the method of 'converting barbarians into Buddhas' and the specific measures after its implementation were also told to Laozi by Confucius, so he naturally wanted to ensure Confucius's safety.

But upon seeing the appearance of Western Religion, he was already worried.

Laozi and Kong Xuan had already gone west out of HanGu Pass, completely unable to assist Confucius.

The Western Religion group, led by the Three Corpses of two Saints, was accompanied by numerous Disciples above the Peak of Golden Immortal.

By all appearances, Confucius would not be a match for Western Religion.

However, fortunately, after the analects of confucius was completed, things took a turn. Confucius, with the condensed Human Clan Luck, now had the power to fight.

Even against the Three Corpses of two Saints, Confucius would not be easily crushed.

However, in the long run, Confucius would still be unable to continuously withstand Western Religion's offensive.

As things stood, he could only pray that Confucius could hold on for a little longer.

As long as Amitabha and Bodhi Founder didn't resort to desperate measures, Confucius could use Human Clan Luck to contend with them for a while longer.

If he could just stall for a bit more time, Laozi and Kong Xuan, who had already reached the Western Regions, would successfully complete the 'converting barbarians into Buddhas' process.

Then, at this very moment, the crisis Confucius faced would be resolved!

Thinking of this, he continued to look towards the Kong Residence with worry.

In Biyou Palace, the Grandmaster of Heaven was also observing the situation inside the Kong Residence.

He was the only Saint among the six who knew about King Zhou's soul division, and he had directly participated in separating the Divine Soul.

Therefore, he had always paid attention to the Human Clan's situation, his goal being to find the reincarnated person of King Zhou's divided soul.

However, over several centuries, how many generations of the Human Clan had passed, and he still hadn't found anyone who made his eyes light up.

Confucius's appearance, and such brilliant performance, still made him somewhat suspicious.

But when the analects of confucius was completed and the Hall of Sages rushed over, he could almost conclude that Confucius was one of King Zhou's divided souls!

He was almost completely clear about everything concerning Confucius.

He constantly sighed inwardly, truly, King Zhou was a creator of miracles.

Even his divided soul's Reincarnation could stir up such waves.

"This King Zhou truly gives me surprises. If Western Religion splits, what does it matter if it flourishes?" The Grandmaster of Heaven said.

Confucius not only achieved the unification of Human Clan thought but also articulated the ideals of Mahayana Buddhism, making Western Religion so wary.

However, he was also somewhat worried about this divided soul of Confucius; Amitabha and Bodhi Ancestor, the Three Corpses of the two Saints of Western Religion, would definitely not let it go.

Could Confucius truly overcome this crisis successfully

Chapter 308: The Establishment of Mahayana Buddhism!

Inside Fire Cloud Cave, the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, along with King Zhou, gathered to observe the battle, which concerned the future structure of the Human Clan.

"The achievement of unifying the Human Clan's ideology is no less significant than the unification of the Nine Provinces' territory. Confucius's becoming a Literary Dao Saint is truly deserved!" Emperor Xuanyuan was the first to speak.

He praised Confucius from the bottom of his heart, as he clearly understood that ideological advancement was also extremely important.

The merit of enlightening the common people truly spanned thousands of years, enough to ensure the continuation of the Human Clan.

He had originally believed that the Human Clan's ability to produce a figure like King Zhou was already a great fortune.

But now, it seemed the Human Clan's continuation would persist. In these two hundred years, the Human Clan had produced another figure like Confucius, who was no weaker than King Zhou.

The Human Clan would remain the protagonist of this world in the future, and more figures like King Zhou and Confucius would emerge.

"Indeed, this Confucius is very similar to King Zhou, and I also highly approve of his discourse on Western Religion," Fuxi said.

In his view, Confucius not only pioneered the Literary Dao and unified the Human Clan's ideology but also proposed the concept of Mahayana Buddhism.

As the elder brother of Nuwa, after resolving the misunderstanding between King Zhou and Nuwa, and confirming that Zhunti Daoren was the mastermind behind the scenes, he developed a deep dislike for Zhunti Daoren and an attitude of mutual destruction towards Western Religion.

If not for the cultivation of Zhunti Daoren and Jieyin Daoren, he would have even wanted Western Religion to completely disappear.

Just as Confucius's words suggested, he also believed that Western Religion was filled with pettiness and selfishness.

Outwardly, they appeared great and righteous, but secretly, they constantly engaged in petty schemes.

Nuwa had once conveyed to him the news that Western Religion was destined to flourish. He believed that if such a Western Religion flourished, it would inevitably plunge the world and the Human Clan back into chaos.

If Mahayana Buddhism could spread, and Western Religion was on the verge of splitting, what did it matter if it flourished?

He recognized the Mahayana Buddhism from Confucius's mouth far more than the current doctrines of Western Religion!

"King Zhou, we are praising Confucius. How do You think he compares to You?" Emperor Yu asked at this moment.

In the past, King Zhou never appeared when there were major events concerning the Human Clan.

His presence today was enough to show King Zhou's Pay attention to for Confucius, which was also the reason he asked King Zhou for his opinion on Confucius.

"This is indeed an outstanding figure. The significance of unifying the Human Clan's ideology is immense. The title of Literary Dao Saint is well-deserved!" King Zhou said.

Confucius was one of his split souls, a fact unknown to the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors.

However, praising Confucius was praising him, so he naturally had no intention of comparing himself.

The reason he came along with the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors was to observe Western Religion's counterattack.

"Confucius is indeed excellent, but Western Religion has, after all, dispatched Amitabha and Bodhi Founder, two of the Sage's Three Corpses.

Even with the title of Literary Dao Saint and the protection of Human Clan Luck, can Confucius truly contend with them?" Shennong asked.

Unlike the optimism of others, this was his current concern for the situation.

If Western Religion were to expend a great price to kill Confucius, then Confucius would be no match at all. Even if he was outstanding, what good would it do if he died?

Upon hearing Shennong's words, the emotions of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors shifted. They, too, fell into contemplation, knowing that what Shennong said was correct.

Although the current Confucius was a Human Dao Saint, he was far from being a match for the two Sage's Three Corpses. They had been a bit too optimistic earlier.

"You believe that Confucius will be safe and sound today!" King Zhou said, naturally without any worries about this.

Confucius was one of his split souls. Although they could not communicate telepathically, he believed that Confucius would definitely resolve the current crisis.

The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors exchanged glances, still somewhat uncertain. They did not understand why King Zhou was so confident.

However, recalling the miracles King Zhou had always created, they already had expectations for Confucius's outcome.

Since Confucius could receive such affirmation from King Zhou, he would surely turn misfortune into blessing.

With anticipation, the group's gaze once again turned towards the Kong Residence.

After deciding to act, Amitabha and Bodhi Founder had no intention of holding back at all.

The Sage power that had been retained in their bodies was directly mobilized by the two, and as their figures moved, they transformed into two large hands reaching out to grasp Confucius.

"I admit that You, Confucius, are an extraordinary individual, but today You will surely die!" Amitabha said.

Although Confucius's words affected the Foundation of Western Religion and he was their enemy, he had to admit that Confucius's ability was indeed remarkable.

Even he found the theories of Mahayana Buddhism and Hinayana Buddhism feasible.

If he were not an enemy, if Confucius were a Disciple of his Western Religion, he would definitely cultivate Confucius with all his might, at least to the Bodhisattva Realm.

With Confucius's comprehension and talent, reaching Bodhisattva would be no difficulty at all.

However, Confucius was ultimately an enemy. The more outstanding he was, the greater the threat to Western Religion in the future, so he had to choose to deal with him.

"Today, we eradicate the Buddhist Demon, and Western Religion shall flourish!" Bodhi Founder said.

He shared the same thoughts as Amitabha, and his resolve to kill Confucius was even stronger. He had already made up his mind.

Even if the Sage power could not kill Confucius, he would sacrifice his Three Corpses to ensure Confucius's death.

The flourishing of Western Religion could not be hindered in any way, nor could it be split because of Confucius.

As they pondered, the hands formed by the Sage power of Amitabha and Bodhi Founder were already within an inch of Confucius.

Seeing this, the seventy-two Disciples subconsciously closed their eyes.

They were not optimistic about the outcome for their master, Confucius. The two who attacked were clearly great The Magician.

Moreover, the large hands formed by that special power could already distort space, which was definitely not the power of Mortals.

Western Religion must have come prepared. How could Confucius resist?

Thinking that their master, Confucius, who had just compiled the analects of confucius and achieved the status of Literary Dao Saint, was about to be killed by Western Religion, their hearts were filled with immense grief.

They knew their strength was vastly inferior and were completely unable to help Confucius.

At the same time, they truly could not bear to watch Confucius die tragically at the hands of Western Religion, so they chose to close their eyes.

"This is the consequence of opposing my Western Religion. What if You achieve the status of Literary Dao Saint?

As long as You hinder the flourishing of Western Religion, even if You are a Quasi-Sage, You will die tragically!" Maitreya said.

He had witnessed Amitabha and Bodhi Founder's actions entirely.

Their choice to directly use Sage methods already confirmed the two Sage's Three Corpses' determination to kill Confucius.

Confucius was surrounded by Human Clan Luck, clearly protected by it.

Because of the Human Clan Luck, Amitabha and Bodhi Founder would definitely suffer a backlash after acting.

The two Three Corpses had already made up their minds, that even if it cost them something, they would kill Confucius. The outcome was already obvious.

"Mobilizing Sage power to strike is equivalent to a Sage personally arriving. A Literary Dao Saint is ultimately not a Sage, and the outcome is already set!" Ksitigarbha said.

Originally, after Confucius became a Literary Dao Saint, his faith in Western Religion wavered again, and his internal thoughts had already shifted towards Mahayana Buddhism.

But in the current situation, Confucius's death was a foregone conclusion. What good was the ideology and doctrine of a dead person?

Amitabha and Bodhi Founder had already made up their minds. This attack left no room for retreat.

And even if Confucius were to resist this attack with Human Clan Luck, Amitabha and Bodhi Founder would not give up.

He had already seen that the two Sage's Three Corpses had made a firm decision, determined to kill Confucius.

In such a situation, how could Confucius escape?

Those were Sage's Three Corpses, the highest combat power below a Sage!

Due to the influence of Mahayana Buddhism's doctrine, his heart ultimately did not wish for Confucius to die at the hands of the Three Corpses.

A thought emerged in his mind: if Confucius could survive at the hands of the Three Corpses, he would abandon the Western Religion doctrine and convert to Mahayana Buddhism doctrine.

However, in his estimation, Confucius was already in a certain death situation.

In contrast, Confucius, who was at the center of the storm, showed no change in expression upon seeing Amitabha and Bodhi Founder's attacks so close.

He was not surprised at all, having long known the conduct of Western Religion. It would be truly strange if Amitabha and Bodhi Founder did not make a move.

It was just a mere Sage method. He had witnessed it during the Investiture of the Gods calamity and had even personally fought against it.

Having even fought against a Sage, what did mere Sage's Three Corpses count for?

At this moment, with a thought, the Hall of Sages and the analects of confucius, suspended in the air, returned to his hands.

As the Hall of Sages and the analects of confucius entered his grasp, the dense Human Clan Luck on them began to surge madly into his body.

The Human Clan Luck condensed, forming the Human Clan Saint aura. At this moment, he was an existence like the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors.

But just then, he felt a stirring in his heart and looked towards the direction of the Western Land.

At the same time, Amitabha and Bodhi Founder also suddenly stopped, retreating quickly while looking towards the West with horrified expressions.

Confucius also felt something, and his gaze, along with Amitabha and the other, turned towards the West.

They saw in the Western sky, a figure surrounded by Five-Colored Divine Light, and an old man riding a green ox backward, soaring into the air.

"I am Kong Xuan! Today, I establish 'Mahayana Buddhism' in the Western Regions. Mahayana Buddhism adheres to the principle of 'saving others is saving oneself'! Everyone is a Buddha! Witnessed by the Heavenly Dao!"
