After lunch, while Jiang Xin was off washing clothes at the clear spring halfway up Blood Sin Peak, Xiao Mo headed to Blood Demon's courtyard again.
To Xiao Mo's surprise, Blood Demon wasn't asleep in her room. Instead, she was sitting in a rocking chair in the courtyard, reading a novel.
"Looks like you're ready?"
Sensing Xiao Mo enter the courtyard, Blood Demon continued to flip through the pages of her book without looking up.
"I think so," Xiao Mo nodded, his gaze falling on Blood Demon's book. "I didn't know you read."
"What do you mean, 'you read'? I've always loved reading; you just never knew it." Blood Demon looked up. "Here, take a look. This book is good for your cultivation, too."
Blood Demon tossed the book in her hands toward Xiao Mo.
Xiao Mo caught it and casually flipped through a few pages, his brow furrowing.
The novel was filled with nothing but risqué stories.
Xiao Mo closed it, tossed it back, and looked at Blood Demon with a complicated expression.
