Just today, a scout reported that signs of a Monk had been spotted near a Demon Fiend lair to the south. It seemed he was exterminating fiends.
Although it was uncertain if he was from the Great Virtue Temple, in their eyes, all monks were cut from the same cloth. As long as he was a Monk, he was basically a Buddhist Cultivator from the Great Virtue Temple. Whether he truly was or not didn't matter—capturing him and bringing him back to the Sect would be a great accomplishment.
Six Zombie Gods had come, all of them raring to go. Being assigned to guard the Sect's Mountain Gate and unable to participate in the great war was frustrating enough. Who would have thought a chance to earn merit would appear right at home? This was basically a freebie delivered to their doorstep; it would be a waste not to take it.
With their power, even if that bald donkey was a Zombie God, capturing him would be a piece of cake.
