In the northern part of the Affiliated Hospital stood an eleven-story, brick-red building. It faced the psychiatry building across a small garden.
This was the Affiliated Hospital's famous Little Red House, also known as the Foreign Guests' Building.
As a renowned international metropolis, Binhai was home to many Chinese branches of foreign organizations, as well as the China headquarters and regional headquarters of international corporations.
This meant there were many foreigners working, living, and traveling in Binhai.
Naturally, these people got sick too.
As the most comprehensive and capable hospital in Binhai, the Affiliated Hospital was the first choice for many foreigners in Binhai when they fell ill.
This Foreign Guests' Building, with its relatively complete facilities and high-end ward decorations, was primarily used to accommodate foreigners.
Of course, not just any foreigner was qualified to stay in this Foreign Guests' Building.
