"You're Chang Meng, right?"
Su Ze immediately spotted the little girl with albinism among the group of children. She had white hair, and her paper-white skin was covered in dirt.
A trace of fear appeared on the little girl's face. She lowered her head, not daring to speak.
Su Ze, unconcerned by the dirt on her, picked her up and said, "Xiaoke and Mrs. Qin are very worried about you. I'll take you all home in a bit, okay?"
"Okay." Hearing the names Xiaoke and Mrs. Qin, Chang Meng nodded vigorously, much of the fear in her eyes fading.
"Let's go."
With Su Ze in the lead and Mr. Ya bringing up the rear, they escorted the children up the stairs.
Mr. Ya suddenly said, "When I came down earlier, there was a woman here. I don't know where she went."
Su Ze thought for a moment and said, "She probably heard the commotion and ran. But the basement is sealed off, so she couldn't have gone far. Let's get the children out first, then we'll come back and look for her."
