"Stop touching me like that..."
The air conditioner was on, so the temperature in the bedroom was comfortable.
Leaving an arm outside the covers brought a slight chill, so the two of them were snuggled together under the thick duvet.
They murmured quietly to one another.
Jiangg Ning had lost count of how many times she pushed Chen Yuan's hand away, but moments later, it would sneak back, persistent as a shadow.
"Enjoying this?"
"Of course," she said, batting his hand away again.
"Mmm... as long as you're enjoying it, that's all that matters."
He savored the feeling in his hand, and his intermittent little movements made Jiangg Ning's cheeks begin to flush red. Lying together in bed, the bedroom felt cozy. Outside, the occasional chirp of a bird or an insect could be heard.
Ever since they'd first thought of getting engaged, she hadn't been opposed to sharing a bed with Chen Yuan at night. Still, she couldn't recall many moments as warm and peaceful as this one.
