Ethan Lowell frowned, his expression darkening. "What do you want now?"
"Your talent in the martial arts can't compare to Eve's, but you've gotten lucky. Aurora Sinclair is your classmate, giving you a prime opportunity since you already know her. As long as you marry her, I will officially welcome your mother into the Lowell Family."
Hearing the man's carrot-and-stick approach, a dark glint flashed in Ethan Lowell's eyes. "Why her? Are we no longer choosing from the women in the Lowell Family's branch lines?"
But Hugo Lowell's tone was casual. "How could their talent possibly compare to Aurora Sinclair's? And aren't you quite fond of her at school? This is perfect..."
Before he could finish, Ethan Lowell hung up and gripped his phone tightly.
'He did like Aurora Sinclair, but it was just admiration and sympathy, not romantic love.'
'He had sworn the day he entered the Lowell Family that he would never fall in love with anyone in his life.'
