Jeanette Kensington faltered for a moment, giving Renee Jennings a complicated look.
The stare made Renee Jennings inexplicably nervous. She coughed lightly into her hand, feeling awkward. "I really didn't mean anything by it. You're not angry, are you?"
Just as Ruby Preston was about to step in and smooth things over, Jeanette Kensington smiled. She leaned closer to the phone, studying it intently for a few seconds. "It's true, Naomi has always been very photogenic. But..." Her tone shifted as her gaze fell back on Naomi Kenway. "Our task this time is dancing. Naomi can learn a thing or two from me."
Naomi Kenway gave a noncommittal grunt. 'If it weren't for the show's requirements, I wouldn't want anything to do with Jeanette Kensington.'
Renee Jennings sullenly averted her gaze. 'I thought that would spark a fight between them,' she fumed inwardly, 'but Jeanette defused it so easily.' Jeanette hadn't denied Naomi's beauty; instead, she'd pivoted to her own strength.
