As she drew closer, Naomi Kenway noticed a faint redness on her cheek. It looked a little swollen.
Renee Jennings subconsciously covered her face. She had already caked on a thick layer of foundation, but it still wasn't enough to hide the mark. A vicious glint flashed in her eyes at the thought.
Seeing Naomi Kenway again, she tried to smirk, but immediately clutched her face in the next second. It hurt.
"Nina, I bet you never expected to see me here."
"You're right, I didn't," Naomi Kenway said, nodding nonchalantly. The next moment, she pulled open her car door, only for Renee Jennings to grab her by the arm.
"Nina, you should know that underhanded methods won't get you far. If you want to make it in this business, you have to rely on actual talent."
Naomi Kenway tilted her head slightly and smiled. "Good, as long as you know that. Keep pushing yourself, then."
