The guide walked over, script in hand. He stopped in front of the contestants, his expression serious.
"Next, I'll announce the scores from our panel of judges. To clarify, there are ten judges in total. The final score is the average after dropping the highest and lowest scores."
"Without further ado, let's get to the ranking everyone has been waiting for. First place goes to Ian's family, with a high score of ninety-eight!" Holding his script, he began to clap. "Congratulations! Congratulations to Ian, Ms. Kenway, and Mr. Shaw!"
A smile spread across Ian Shaw's face. He excitedly threw himself into Naomi Kenway's arms, then high-fived Ethan Shaw.
"Yay! Mom, Dad, we're number one!"
Naomi smiled, hugging him. "Yes, we are. This just goes to show how well Ian can draw."
"Ian drew well, and Mom and Dad drew well too!" Ian's little face flushed slightly as he blinked his big, bright eyes. "I can't believe we got first place. I'm so happy."
