A waiter heard the commotion and ran over. "Sir, do you need any help?"
Jackson Kensington wiped the coffee stains from his cheek. He seemed to have lost a great deal of face and suppressed his anger as he waved his hand. "There's nothing for you to do here. You can go."
Naomi Kenway crossed her arms and watched him without a word.
Remembering the purpose of his visit, Jackson Kensington swallowed his rage and sat down again. Brown liquid dripped from the ends of his hair. He clenched his fists, his eyes fierce. "You've really gotten bold, haven't you? How dare you pour coffee on my head?"
Naomi Kenway smiled faintly and called to the side, "Waiter, another coffee, please."
"No! We don't need one!" Jackson Kensington scrambled to his feet to stop her.
He sat back down and stared intently at Naomi. "Out with it. What will it take for you to help Jeanette clear her name? We're family. Blood is thicker than water. Do we really have to let things get this ugly?"
