Zhou Zichan was a slightly chubby girl whose eyes curved into crescents whenever she smiled. In the plot, she was the commissioner's desk-mate—an easygoing girl with a good heart. When Lin He casually flirted with the commissioner, using her as a shield, Zhou Zichan had even given the commissioner a subtle warning. Unfortunately, the commissioner was so immersed in that false light that she refused to pull herself out. In the end, she sank deep into the mire, unable to escape.
Zhou Zichan sat in the third row from the back. Since everyone else already had a desk-mate, it wouldn't have been appropriate for Teacher Liu to rearrange others just to accommodate Chun Mian. Zhou Zichan's previous desk-mate had reportedly taken a leave of absence due to the immense pressure of studying. That left the seat next to her empty. Since it was a new semester and Teacher Liu hadn't yet arranged the seating, Chun Mian was placed there upon her arrival.
