In the south of Qing Province City, Wangxian Tower stood majestically.
This tower was one of the finest establishments in the southern district. With dragons carved on its eaves, phoenixes painted on its beams, and vermilion-lacquered railings that gleamed with a gentle luster, it was the very picture of magnificence.
Inside, the tower was packed with guests, the din of conversation overwhelming. Waiters, with white towels over their shoulders and swift boots on their feet, darted between the tables like butterflies flitting through flowers, their calls unceasing.
The rich aroma of aged wine mingled with the fragrant scent of roasted meat and fresh fish, enough to make one's stomach rumble with hunger.
By a window on the third floor sat two graceful figures. Their peerless beauty drew frequent glances from every other patron in the tower.
These two were none other than the Cyan Snake and the White Snake, transformed into human form.
