"Understood!" everyone responded.
Li Chang'an lit an incendiary bomb and hurled it into the cave.
BOOM!
The bomb exploded. A flash of light consumed the cave entrance as flames erupted.
From deep within the cave came the shrill shrieks of Black Obsidian Beetles as they writhed and struggled in the fire.
"It worked!" Sun Yang exclaimed.
"Don't celebrate just yet," Li Chang'an said calmly. "Let's go take a look."
He led the way into the cave.
The cave's interior was a charred, blackened mess. Beetle carcasses and unidentifiable bones were scattered everywhere.
The air was thick with a pungent, scorched odor.
"Doesn't look like... there's anything special here," Shen Qiuyue said, glancing around.
"No, there is," Li Chang'an said firmly. "Look over there!"
He pointed to a corner deep in the cave.
In the corner, something black was squirming faintly.
"What is that?" Sun Yang asked curiously.
"Let's go see," Li Chang'an said, approaching with caution.
