Jim Quincy grumbled as well, "You should be glad there's food at all. Stop being so picky."

Mrs. Quincy: "..."

The atmosphere instantly grew awkward.

Cecilia Adler eased the tension. "Mom, Dad, let's eat. The buns from this place are amazing. It's so popular I had to wait in line for almost ten minutes to get them. Go on, try them."

"Okay." Jim Quincy sat down and tried both the buns and the pan-fried dumplings.

They were actually quite good.

After breakfast.

Mr. and Mrs. Quincy left.

Cecilia Adler was clearing the dishes. She looked over at Ian Quincy as he headed for the kitchen. "Ian, you're not leaving?"

"My professor is giving a lecture today, so I'm planning to study at home."

"Then you go study. I can clean up by myself."

"There's no rush." Ian Quincy quietly went about his work.

Cecilia Adler watched him from the corner of her eye. 'He used to be so clumsy with housework, but now he's both fast and good at it.'

'That wasn't a habit he'd picked up overnight.'
