Dusk was approaching, and the clouds had stained the sky a magnificent red.
Cecilia Adler put down her pen to prepare dinner.
As she went downstairs to empty the slop bucket, she caught a familiar figure out of the corner of her eye by the gate. A closer look revealed it was Felix Flynn.
She set down the bucket and walked toward the main gate, deliberately pretending not to have seen him.
"Cecilia." Felix Flynn jogged up to her. "I finally caught you. I was just about to ask someone to call for you."
Cecilia Adler observed his condition.
The dark circles under his eyes had faded, his posture was straight, and his whole demeanor was full of life.
He seemed to be in much better spirits than before.
