Cecilia Adler went to the department store and bought a set of school supplies for the child.
She then made her way unhurriedly to Teacher Kent's house.
Teacher Kent finished the lesson and closed his book. "I had originally planned for us to finish next week, but you're learning so quickly that we can end things today. I've already prepared your letter of recommendation. Just take it with you to the school when the semester begins." He handed her an envelope.
Cecilia Adler's eyes reddened with emotion. "Thank you, Teacher Kent."
"Don't mention it."
Cecilia Adler put the letter away, said goodbye to Teacher Kent, and returned to her small workshop to continue her work. That evening, Ian Quincy arrived with food and the child.
Cecilia Adler handed over the school supplies. "Claire, take a look. Do you like them?"
