This startled Poppy Vance, who was sitting across from her, singing her heart out. She immediately stopped and asked Clara Grant, "Clara, what's wrong?"
Seth Quinn glanced at Poppy Vance, then silently put the brocade box back into his pocket.
As she started walking out, Clara Grant replied, "I need to go to the restroom."
Seth Quinn glanced at Poppy Vance again. Understanding his look, she immediately put down the microphone and followed her. "I need to go too. Let's go together."
Clara Grant smiled at her. "Let's go."
Poppy Vance linked arms with her, and the two women left the private room, talking and laughing.
Linden Jennings watched their backs disappear before turning to Seth Quinn, a teasing look on his face. "Seth, she's just going to the restroom. It's not like she's going to run away. You don't have to be so nervous that you make Poppy follow her, do you?"
