Chloe Grant quickly arrived at the mall entrance. She got out of her car and glanced around, but she didn't see a single familiar face.
She pulled out her phone to make a call, which connected almost immediately. "Hey, where are you guys? I can't see a single one of you... Okay, okay, fine. Just hurry up. I'll wait for you inside the mall. Call me when you get here."
With that, she hung up.
It was the middle of the day, so the mall wasn't very crowded. Chloe Grant strolled through the main entrance, completely unaware that someone was furtively following her from not far behind.
Chloe wandered around the mall by herself for a bit. Seeing that her friends still hadn't called, she pulled out her phone to check it. Somehow, she lost her grip for a second and her phone fell to the floor.
The phone hit the floor with a sharp SMACK, startling Chloe. Snapping back to her senses, she bent down to pick it up.
