But just as she closed her eyes, she saw the little boy walking in another direction.
Then, to her astonishment, the little boy lunged into Clara Grant's arms,
still chirping happily, "Mommy, Mommy..."
Autumn Shelby froze. 'The boy is calling Clara Grant "Mommy"?!'
It wasn't just her; nearly everyone at the scene was stunned.
Clara Grant looked a little embarrassed. She'd forgotten that ever since she'd spent his birthday with him, the little boy had been convinced she was his mother.
She subconsciously glanced at Seth Quinn beside her. The man's brow was slightly furrowed, his expression cold as he stared at the child. She parted her lips, about to say something, but ultimately said nothing at all.
Though it was awkward, Clara Grant still bent down and picked up the little boy, speaking to him with a gentle smile. "Sweetie, you're here too?"
The little boy couldn't say much else, just kept happily calling for his "Mommy."
