Outside the detention center, Sierra Sutton stepped out of a taxi. After paying the fare, he turned to see the center's main gate open and someone walk out.
When he saw who it was, Sierra froze. It was Yvette Zimmerman.
The Yvette Zimmerman before him was a far cry from the spirited, impeccably dressed socialite she once was. She now looked somewhat shabby, her posture slumped, appearing both miserable and helpless.
Yvette took a few slow steps, and when she looked up, she saw Sierra standing not far in front of her.
Yvette was stunned for a moment, then ran forward in delight. She grabbed Sierra's hand and asked, "Sierra, are you here to see Autumn?"
Sierra hesitated before giving a slight nod.
"That's wonderful! She'll definitely agree to see you. Sierra, you have no idea... Ever since she was...brought in, I've come every day for the past two weeks, but she's refused to see me. Not even once."
