Meanwhile, after Cedric Grant hung up, he was about to toss his phone onto the table when he suddenly froze. He looked up at Clara Grant and murmured, "Chloe won't... do something foolish, will she?"
'She's been so down lately. She couldn't actually be depressed... and do something drastic, could she?'
Clara Grant heard him and couldn't help but say, "Try giving her a call."
Cedric Grant took his phone and dialed Chloe Grant's number, but the line was busy. He frowned and hung up.
A moment later, he tried again. This time it went through, but after two rings, the call was disconnected.
Cedric Grant grew even more worried. He looked at Clara anxiously. "Chloe isn't answering! Clara, do you think she's really going to do something rash? This won't do. I have to go find her!"
With that, he stood up to leave.
Although Clara disliked Chloe Grant immensely, she was... as Cedric Grant said, her own sister.
