Aurora Sterling took less than ten minutes to change, and it wasn't even six-thirty when she came downstairs.
When Joy Dalton saw the light green short dress Aurora was wearing, she raised an eyebrow. "Aurora, you're really going to wear that to the Valerius family's home?"
"Yes, I am," Aurora Sterling nodded.
"It's a little too plain. You should go change while there's still time," Joy Dalton said in a gentle voice, perfectly playing the part of a concerned mother.
However, Aurora Sterling shook her head, blinking her large, innocent eyes. "Aren't our two families just meeting for dinner? It's not a formal banquet or anything. I didn't think I needed to dress so formally."
This was exactly what Joy Dalton had been waiting to hear. Now, even if Aurora wanted to go change, Timothy Sterling likely wouldn't allow her the time.
Sure enough, Timothy Sterling shot Aurora a displeased glare. "Fine, that'll have to do. We're running out of time!"
