Joanna Jacobs looked at the time. "It's getting late. Don't overthink it. Just get some rest for now. You can think about it when the sun comes up."
With that, Joanna Jacobs reached out and patted Sylvia Vaughn's hand. But Sylvia snatched her hand back, staring at Joanna as if she were a stranger.
