Vivian Yardley glanced down at the watch on his wrist. "We've wrapped for the day. Let's go get some dinner."
"Okay, give me a minute. I need to take off my makeup first."
Laura Lowell gathered her long, flowing white dress and turned toward the dressing room.
After removing her makeup and changing into her own clothes, Laura Lowell and Peach got into Vivian Yardley's car. Jolene Joyce had left earlier in the afternoon for a company matter.
Laura leaned back in the rear seat and closed her eyes wearily. She'd probably spent too much time in the cold water today; her body felt a little unwell, and her head was starting to ache.
The phone in her shoulder bag buzzed.
Laura sneezed, rubbing her stuffy nose before finally taking out her phone to look. It was a WeChat message from Aiden Shaw.
[Are you coming home for dinner tonight?]
Looking at the words on the screen, an unconscious smile touched Laura's lips. Her fingertips tapped lightly a few times before she pressed send.
