Laura Lowell's soft voice hadn't yet faded when her lips were suddenly captured, their breaths intertwining like vines.
"You know, I have absolutely no resistance to your confessions. You're stuck with me for life."
Aiden Shaw cupped Laura Lowell's cheeks, his nose brushing lightly against hers, his breath slightly ragged.
Laura Lowell shifted back slightly. Her fair fingers lifted his chin, her clear eyes full of playful accusation. "Why did you bite me?"
"Did it hurt?"
"Yes, it hurt a lot. For your punishment, you're not allowed to kiss me for a whole day."
"No way. Don't even think about it."
Aiden Shaw reached up and pinched Laura Lowell's chin, his deep-set eyes shining like a galaxy of stars.
"Just how much do you like me? You can't even go one day?"
"Nope."
